It was my first time trying this restaurant after hearing so much hype, & overall I really enjoyed the food. The only downside for me was that the pappardelle with duck ragu was a bit saltier than I would've liked, but everything else I tried was delicious.
From start to finish my experience for the first time at La Spada was top tier.
The ambiance was exactly what you want in a restaurant. It was trendy, high energy, welcoming, buzzing but not uncomfortably loud.

Then the carbonara which was delicious, creamy & rich in all the right ways
& shared a delicious med rare lobsters that was truly Devine!

À essayé! Nous étions au bar & un gros merci à Chanel car nous avons passée une excellente soirée & nous avons été traité comme des amis! Par contre, nous ne sommes pas certains que nous aurions eu le même service assis à une table car les autres serveurs avaient l'air un peu plus froid & hautain.
Les pâtes sont un must! Nous avons adoré nos cocktails également. Bonne sélection de vin. Nous y retournerons pour essayer le menu d'été. Superbe ambiance!
Tonight's meal at La Spada was a 100/10 experience! We attended the Snowdon Deli x La Spada collab dinner, & weren't disappointed. Between the delicious food, the delectable pickle martini, the perfect wine pairings, the beautiful decor, the kind staff (thanks for not judging us for accidentally breaking a glass!), & the impeccable service, I know we'll be back again soon 🤤
The good: the focaccia & rigatoni alla vodka were very good. They also have a coat check, & the atmosphere was inviting.
The bad: it took close to 10 minutes for my friend's main dish to come out. We had to send 3 reminders to staff about the missing food before somebody went to the kitchen to check. As a result, our dishes were no longer hot. A complimentary dessert to share would have been lovely & eased our disappointment, but instead we got a half-hearted apology.
This restaurant is next level. Food, service & vibe is top notch. Best Italian in the city, hands down!!! Friends, family or date night - can't go wrong!
I have been eating here for quite a while, since the opening & haven't been disappointed. Love the fact that everything can be shared family style. Free pouring of wine at the table, cold refreshing cocktails. The owner Scott pops into tables to see how everyone is doing. The music isn't too loud & the servers are smiling. Love starting off with some house made bread, moving to a Caesar salad, & then a couple of mains. I've done the specials before & they are indeed special. Hot & full of flavour. Love the valet parking on the weekend. Thanks for bringing some life & love to Notre Dame! Always love going back.
