Excellent service from start to finish. We were genuinely taken care of the whole time by our waiter but also by the sommelière. The food was really good, & the overall Italian vibe of the restaurant felt like something out a movie. Perfect spot for birthday dinners, dates, or just a casual night out with friends. Would definitely go back!
My husband & I went to La Spada a couple of years ago when it first opened & liked it a lot, but hadnt been back since until this past weekend. It was such a great experience to revisit the restaurant- their food is even better than I remembered. We especially liked the pannacotta with olive oil & honeycomb (sooo good - sweet, salty, creamy, crunchy) & the octopus salad with potatoes (warm, a little smoky, octopus was perfectly cooked!). Their foccacia is also delicious & spongy. We thought that the crudo was a bit underseasoned, & personally I found the pasta to be a bit too fishy. But overall the food was great.
The drinks were also really good: we ordered two spritzes at the start of the meal (I had the Spada spritz & my husband had the more herbaceous one) & we ended the dinner with two amaros, selected by the bartender, which we both enjoyed.
Another good Italian restaurant. We were a group of 8. We all enjoyed the appetizers as well as the main course. The only recommendation wld be good if they cld add one or more pasta to the menu ..
They were nice offering a nice dessert with a candle to our graduates …
The espresso martinis & tiramisu were the only outstanding bites/sips of the night unfortunately… The restaurant is beautiful & they have a nice selection of wine but we were quite underwhelmed by the plates even though they came with a beautiful presentation. Nothing really stood out & for the price… we've had a lot better. We had to send back the pasta as the dish itself was hot & the pasta very cold, hard & not saucy. The service was very slow & sometimes a little rude.
La Spada is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, attentive, & genuinely welcoming without feeling overdone. The food was excellent across the board.
The carpaccio was beautifully prepared, the Caesar salad was one of the better ones I've had in Montreal, & every pasta dish at the table was outstanding. The wine list is also very well curated.
Wonderful evening spent at La Spada, servers were attentive & owner kind & generous. The food was delicious, from the soft focaccia to the fresh pasta. Our highlight was definitely the panacotta, which was out of this world 🤍
The place is very nice & was recommended to me by a friend. I tried their duck pasta, & it was incredibly tasty🤤 The only small concern was the service -maybe because it was a busy Saturday night, there was a confusion with our orders. I'd probably recommend taking a little more time with each guest & their order to avoid this kind of confusion. But overall, the place is great, the food is delicious, & the atmosphere & interior design are really nice!
