Bien que la nourriture ait été délicieuse & vraiment à la hauteur de mes attentes, notre expérience a été ternie par un service à la clientèle assez décevant. Au moment de choisir notre dessert & une 2e bouteille de vin, notre serveuse a hésité de nous permettre de commander, par peur que nous allions dépassé notre temps alloué vu notre réservation au premier service. Nous avons donc eu besoin de nous dépêcher de terminer nos assiettes & nos verres de vin. À peine 3 minutes après l'heure de la fin de notre réservation, le gérant nous a pressé de quitter, car la serveuse nous avait demandé de ne pas terminer nos verres vu l'heure. La façon dont cela a été gérer faisait preuve d'un manque de politesse, de tact mais aussi d'un grand manque de flexibilité. Nous sommes des consommateurs respectueux, nous n'allions pas étirer le temps plus qu'il faut, nous demandions simplement de terminer nos 2 dernières gorgées de vin sans devoir les caler. Cela a vraiment gâcher notre expérience. J'espère que le restaurant pourra revoir sa politique/gestion des réservations, car la qualité de la cuisine mérite une bien meilleure gestion du service.
Cuisine très bonne & sommelière très sympathique mais de loin la pire expérience de service que j'ai vécue dans un restaurant. Nous nous sommes littéralement fait mettre à la porte par le gérant sans avoir le temps de finir notre vin & dessert car les prochains clients arrivaient. N'importe quel autre restaurant avec une limite de temps gère ça de manière courtoise mais pas la spada. Revoyez votre approche client.

La Spada is a true gem & a "slice of Italy" in what I call St. Henri, one of the best districts in Mtl. Welcome to my neighbourhood! The service was on point, food well crafted & creatively presented, the vibe is "fun". Montreal offers such a wide array of restaurants of all culinary backgrounds & we are clearly on the map. Of all the choices, I selected La Spada for my staff X-Mas dinner. I began with phone messages which were never replied to, then to emails. After 2 wks of persistent reaching out, I received one brief email reply: "I'll get back to you". 3 1/2 wks later, still no reply. Since we are nearing Christmas where most restaurants need to be reserved sooner than later, I was unable to wait on La Spada. I give a 5 star review for all else but unfortunately a huge fail on the administration. They should consider assistance to accommodate clientèle (which is what all restaurants depend on for business). Great for La Spada that they're busy but not so great for clients in search of planning accommodations.
I'm Italian, trust me I know my sh*t : cette adresse est Incontournable! Louana's Service was impeccable, we walked in on some Andrea Bocelli « Con Te Partirò » & all the 4 course were amazing ! Highly recommended. I'm personally becoming an loyal customer starting today
I've had the pleasure of dining at La Spada a handful of times now, & I'm always impressed. The atmosphere is great. Not too bright, not too loud, very cozy. The staff recognizes me & welcomes me back every time, which is such a great feeling. There's a great depth of flavor in every dish, from meats & veggies finished on a charcoal grill, to pasta made fresh in house, & sauces with subtle notes that leave you guessing. When you order, dont skip the greens. This place will make you love broccolini. La Spada takes itself seriously. Theres no artificial pretension here. A trattoria made by the Montreal food scene, for the Montreal food scene.
I have been a handful of times to La Spada since their opening & it is now one of my favorite restaurants in the City & definitely my go-to Italian. The vibes & decor are immaculate, the service is always personable & the food is to die for. The prices are also very reasonable for the value of what they serve. I would like to add it is also quite vegetarian & pescetarian friendly. I can definitely see this place being the next big thing. Everybody I have introduced to this place were very impressed.
I was so impressed that literally EVERYTHING was delicious. Like i'd give a 10/10 to everything I had from drinks to mains. It was so good & the service was perfect as well. I can't stop telling my friends about it & I think their strawberry shortcake is the best I ever had. Thanks La Spada, I will be back🙂

Food. Ambiance. Service. All amazing! Great cocktails. Gluten free options! Nice wine selection & the plates are delicious & plentiful. Love the decor & vibes!
Nice atmosphere & good dishes... I wouldn't say is the best pasta or Italian food I have tasted in Montréal... but is a very good place to come back for sure.

This was great. Food was amazing, we followed recommendations from the waiter & it was great. Both the Pasta dish were amazing (beef ragu & butternut ravioli), full of flavour, pasta al dente. Great spot for a date night as well, as very nice atmosphere. The cocktails were also very nice (especially expresso martini) I would recommend.
La Spada is an excellent, new restaurant serving upscale italian. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are excellent & the food is divine. We reserved a table for their collaboration event this past weekend. 80$ 6-course table d'hote. It was near perfect. I could describe the dishes, but most, if not all won't exist when you get there. Just go. You will not be disappointed.
nice looking place. great waitress i believe her name was laura.. food was just not that good. i've heard a lot of hype around this place but i'm not really sure why?- after leaving the review the workers also harass you on social media. Seems like they spend more time on social media then actually making good food

When we lived in NDG, Amerigo was our go-to spot. After moving just a few streets away from La Spada, we had to give it a try, & it did not disappoint! The food & drinks are fantastic, & the staff is awesome. Good food & vibes, highly recommend!
amazing food (we loved the crudo, beef tartare, shrimp cocktail, focaccia, & brussel sprouts) & great service! only disappointment is that the vongole is listed on the menu as linguine but we were served bucatini (I hate bucatini) & it was barely warm when it got to our table... I would definitely come back & try other pasta dishes though!
I'm Italian & it's rare that I'll even try Italian food outside of the house. Chef D & La Spada are killing it in a way I didn't think was possible. Incredible food, incredible staff & incredible atmosphere. 100% a must try restaurant in Montreal.
