J'ai accompagné le tout d'une pointe de pizza que la tendreté de la croûte m'a bien surpris, quand je mange la croûte des pizzas, c'est que c'est bon! 4.6⭐View more
My god is this place ever special! Best arancini I've ever had, & delicious sandwiches. I had the La Bologna & it was extraordinary. A very unique sandwich!View more
Kinda sad & truly disappointed.
So I went the first time excited to have a sandwich. I ordered the porchetta sandwich aka La Romana but it was unfortunately quite disappointing. The bread , although tasty & crusty, was cut so poorly & unevenly that the top layer of the bread was so thin I couldn't even hold the sandwich.
The sandwich itself lacked flavour & the ingredients were so Skimpy, it just looked sad, as if this sandwich did not want to be made.
The arugula was wilted & yellow tasted quite bad. the grilled veggies were non existent . There was barely enough in there to even consider it as an item in the description. Don't cheap out on ingredients.
The porchetta itself tasted bland
However, even after all this
I said to myself, maybe they had an off day ? so I decided to give it another chance. I went back a few days later & this time I got, la Toscana.
The exact same thing happened. The bread was cut so unevenly that you're rendered this thin slice of bread on which is is so hard to eat ! It just all fell apart on me so I ate it all deconstructed such a bummer!.
As I was sifting through the sandwich I realized there was no artichoke cream or marinated eggplant so I looked on the menu & realized that the gentlemen at the front probably should've asked me if I wanted either of those things since it says artichoke cream OR marinated eggplants . But he didn't, so I guess I got none. That addition would have added so much more flavour.
So basically it was just cheese meat Lettuce & the kicker , two half slices of tomato ! only on one side! So total 1 slice of tomato all day. That just boggles my mind. Who does such a thing ?
I understand food cost as I own 2 fine dining restaurants . I know the cost of things like tomatoes, among other things. There's absolutely no excuse. Also, tomatoes were sliced razor thin , which is good but when you combine that with a tiny amount of slices it just seems cheap.
But this is Montreal, young entrepreneurs thinking they can do it better than the next guy .'Bro cannolis? & pizza bro ? Sandwiches you say? I do dem better den anybody bro' so they open restaurants. They focus so much on hype & decor & when it comes to the food, it unfortunately often takes a backseat, why?
Don't people just want to wow others with a good food ? Especially at these exorbitant prices ??
In the end though, this just bites you guys in the ass because you guys seemed really promising to me , this shows me a lack of care or concern . Even the gentleman manning the front seemed quite Disenchanted with the whole operation; Almost like he doesn't wanna be there. Sorry but I will never go back . I gave you guys a chance . Too bad cause I wanted to taste Your pizza al taglio ,seemed nice but when I saw them they look equally sad, as if they've been sitting there for days .
P.s Whoever is reading this review do yourself a favour, if you want a good sandwich, go to café Clark or even Bodega Montreal better bang for your buck & much tastier.View more
Les sandwichs sont excellents & le service est plus que parfait!!View more
Came in for the pizza but was encouraged to also try the sandwiches. The Pizza toppings were fire & the sandwich was 10/10.
Great spot & friendly staff, do yourself a favour & swing by for the porchetta samdwichView more
Absolutely delicious la parma sandwich. The prosciutto melted in my mouth. It was like butter. The focaccia was crisp on the outside & moist on the inside.View more
The arancini were really good, their bologna sandwich was also great - service was maybe a little on the cold side but great place overall!View more
Je verrai.🙃View more

Very disappointing. Was expecting an amazing Italian sandwich with generous ingredients but instead I got a basic sandwich with one small layer of salami. For the price, not worth it. Bossa is far more good.View more

A lovely addition to Notre-Dame street. The food was delicious & they had an extensive + authentic Italian menu. I had tried their'La Parma' sandwich as well as their arancini. The tomato sauce that went with the arancini was awesome. The flatbread they used for the sandwich was great & authentic. The fig jam with the prosciutto is such a supreme combination! The only point of improvement for me would be to pack the sandwich a little more. It needed some more substance. But otherwise, service was great, the decor was cute, & it was nice vibes all around. I'll definitely be going back!View more
In a city that often surprises with its culinary undercurrents, La Scacciata is one of those rare finds. I swung by for the first time one evening with some friends & was immediately struck by the owner's genuine hospitality & a generosity that went beyond mere portions. Inviting me to leave the decision in his hands, he whipped up a meal that spoke volumes about his passion for quality & craft.
He prepared me the Tortelli pasta & paired it with a soon to be released carpaccio sandwich that was as artful as it was delicious. To wash it down, I tried the Negroni Sour. It was a cocktail that delivered a smooth, robust character without overwhelming an alcohol aftertaste, a true testament to careful mixology. I ended up lingering there until closing time, immersed in the experience of good food & even better company.
This isn't just another Italian restaurant; it's a spot where culinary integrity meets heartfelt hospitality. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Montreal, eager to see what surprises await on the menu.View more
Cute new spot. We tried the sandwiches. The bread was very good but sandwich just didn't have enough substance. Very little cold cuts, very little sauce or condiments. For 40$ for two sandwiches, it was pretty underwhelming & not filling. In comparisons, at other spots in Montreal, one sandwich to share is more than enough for us.View more
We had 3 different sandwiches, & all were delicious! Really fresh ingredients & the homemade focaccia bread was perfectly salty & crispy. The best sandwich was the bologna the combination of pistachio & ricotta was sooooo creamy & delicious. I can't wait to go back & try more!View more
Nice ambiance, fresh ingredients, good portions & friendly staff. Was a great first experience. The price was fair & comparable if not competitive with other sandwich shops. Sandwich & drink was 21$ all in. Great addition to the street & I'll definitely be back!View more
Sandwich très goûteux dans une ambiance chaleureuse (en plus des notes de musique d'Abba & de Queen). Le personnel a été très accueillant. Merci à Jonathan, belle découverte!View more
It was delicious !! The arancini are amazing. I got the beef & peas one. The mushroom pizza with the secret truffle sauce was a hit. We loved the grilled vegetable sandwich & the spinach snd cheese pastry. But next time for sure I'll order way more cannelloni- the mini size is perfection. The perfect combination of cryspy & creamy & I'll also order more Nutella doughnuts. So happy to have you in the neighborhood & thank you for the warm & generous welcome today. Recommended 100%.View more
