Since 1999, the restaurant LA PRUNELLE is a bring your wine that imposes itself on the popular Duluth in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal. The chef conveys her passion in each of her dishes, working with products of Quebec dotted with Mediterranean accents. Respecting both the producers of the province and seasonal changes, the menu leads us into an adventure filled with happy detours. One feels immediately at home in this lively and friendly restaurant, overseen by Annie the co-owner and her team. The place is a beautiful and charming space, with large windows that open completely in the summer. One thing is certain, LA PRUNELLE is a very good value for money and is surely one of the finest dining experiences on the Plateau Mont-Royal.
La Prunelle draws praise for refined French dining in a warm, intimate setting with attentive service and a BYOW policy that many guests appreciate. Reviews note delicious dishes such as beef tartare, magret de canard, ris de veau, octopus, and a dessert lineup that impresses, along with a chic yet casual ambiance and a lively street view from the window. While the experience is sometimes described as excellent value for money thanks to BYOW, some criticisms include very small portions, occasional slow service when crowded, and a sometimes noisy or crowded room. Overall, the restaurant is frequently described as a neighborhood gem, perfect for special occasions or relaxed evenings, and many guests say they will return.
I love this little resto. Has that old Plateau energy. It's an apportez votre vin, food is very good . Delicious good reasonable portions. Well made, fresh good ingredients, the service is excellent. Welcoming & friendly. It's on Duluth street So it's a nice walk. There is a saq close on st dennis. So you can make the evening a little nice walk. This experience is a reminder of how lovely our city is. Love Montreal.
Très bon restaurant apportez votre vin. Bon verre à vin style spiegle. Tout était bon particulièrement la toaste au champignon, le gâteau au courge & epices. Bon service
La Prunelle is a wonderful restaurant in the Plateau! I take all of my out of town guests there because it always offers a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food & wonderful, attentive & warm staff. I highly recommend La Prunelle!
The dining room is a perfect space, with the windows open allowing the summer breezes coming down from the mountain down Duluth. We were enjoying the evening from the first moment.
We saw reviews saying the salmon tartare was bland but it wasn't. The ris de veau was crispy & delicious. We also had the octopus & a creme brulee. We've been here time & time again. The point of this place is to enjoy yourselves in a classic but casual dining room, & if you can't do that at a BYOW place nothing will satisfy you. The couple who run it do their best to give a great experience. Roll with it & you'll have a great time.
