The chef conveys her passion in each of her dishes, working with products of Quebec dotted with Mediterranean accents. Respecting both the producers of the province and seasonal changes, the menu leads us into an adventure filled with happy detours. One feels immediately at home in this lively and friendly restaurant, overseen by Annie the co-owner and her team. The place is a beautiful and charming space, with large windows that open completely in the summer. One thing is certain, LA PRUNELLE is a very good value for money and is surely one of the finest dining experiences on the Plateau Mont-Royal.

The menu features tartare de boeuf, magret de canard, ris de veau, octopus, and creme brulee, with many noting refined technique, appealing presentation and thoughtful flavor combinations. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with soft lighting, a lively street view and a pleasant terrace in summer. Bring your own wine is a popular feature, offering good value for both date nights and small gatherings. Some critics note occasional drawbacks such as fries or certain dishes being too salty, or service slowing a bit when the restaurant is busy, and the space can get loud. Repeat visits are common, with guests praising consistency, warmth and quality ingredients. Overall, La Prunelle is seen as a standout neighborhood gem for classic, well executed French cuisine in Montreal, delivering memorable evenings and a welcoming atmosphere.
Nous y sommes déjà allés donc nous savions ce qui nous attendait. La nourriture est excellente, inventive; le service est courtois & amical. Seul bémol: l'endroit devient vite très bruyant.
Repas excellent, sauce & garnitures originales.
Service attentionné. Musique un peu fortes même avec les grandes portes ouvertes.
Très belle soirée de mai
Merci
We really loved our meal here. The food was fresh, the preparations inventive & tasty, & the staff both professional & friendly. We are visiting from NYC, spending a month in Montreal & are very happy that we came here early in our stay, since we may well come back again. Highly recommended. Reminder: BYOB.
Bon accueil; excellent service; endroit bruyant; pieuvre à améliorer; contre-filet de veau excellent qui allait à merveille avec notre délicieux Côte Rôtie 2007.
