Since 1999, the restaurant LA PRUNELLE is a bring your wine that imposes itself on the popular Duluth in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal. The chef conveys her passion in each of her dishes, working with products of Quebec dotted with Mediterranean accents. Respecting both the producers of the province and seasonal changes, the menu leads us into an adventure filled with happy detours. One feels immediately at home in this lively and friendly restaurant, overseen by Annie the co-owner and her team. The place is a beautiful and charming space, with large windows that open completely in the summer. One thing is certain, LA PRUNELLE is a very good value for money and is surely one of the finest dining experiences on the Plateau Mont-Royal.
Reviews describe La Prunelle as a warm, intimate French spot in the Plateau with excellent service and consistently delicious dishes. The menu features tartare de boeuf, magret de canard, ris de veau, octopus, and creme brulee, with many noting refined technique, appealing presentation and thoughtful flavor combinations. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with soft lighting, a lively street view and a pleasant terrace in summer. Bring your own wine is a popular feature, offering good value for both date nights and small gatherings. Some critics note occasional drawbacks such as fries or certain dishes being too salty, or service slowing a bit when the restaurant is busy, and the space can get loud. Service is repeatedly praised as impeccable, attentive, and professional, with staff making guests feel cared for. Repeat visits are common, with guests praising consistency, warmth and quality ingredients. Overall, La Prunelle is seen as a standout neighborhood gem for classic, well executed French cuisine in Montreal, delivering memorable evenings and a welcoming atmosphere.
Repas excellent mais service un peu trop maniéré. Ambiance trop bruyante mais on doit être trop vieux. Si vous n'habitez pas le Plateau, prenez un taxi ou le métro. Impossible de stationner même en voulant payer le parcomètre.

Delicious refined food in casual, friendly & elegant setting. We loved our dinner there on the terrace while Duluth is closed to traffic. Brought a bottle of rose in this wonderful BYOB. Perfect evening!
Small & creative menu. Lovely service & atmosphere. BYOB is a great perk. Entrees are a cross between farm to table & French bistro. Delicious dinner with salmon tartare, a watermelon tomato gazpacho, Quebec strip with vegs, & an interesting feta gnudi. Dessert was an sophisticated twist on a childhood treat--soft serve swirl with elderflower ice cream & strawberry rhubarb sorbet. Loved this restaurant & will be back!

We had an amazing evening of fabulous food in a lovely atmosphere. Our tastebuds were over joyed with everything we ordered. We will happily return for more.
Un grand merci, service excellent, decor decontracté & professionnel, presentation originale, cuisson telle que demandée, le tout délicieux.
