C'est l'histoire d'un Québécois, d'une Mexicaine & d'une Malgache qui vont dans un restaurant italien souterrain & qui mangent comme des anges (les anges peuvent-ils manger ? Je souhaitais que ça rime). Pour vous mettre en contexte, dans l'équipe de bénévoles se chargeant de l'accueil de notre église, je me suis fait une nouvelle amie d'un pays insulaire africain qui a bien gentiment accédé à se rejoindre à K. & moi le temps d'un repas. Dans l'espoir de lui procurer la meilleure des impressions, j'ai voulu y aller dans du délicieux & de l'accessible, & je n'aurais pas cru si bien choisir : La Panzeria. C'est très important, alors je vous le dis tout de suite : il faut réserver ou arriver tôt. Nous nous sommes pointés juste à temps pour occuper les derniers escabeaux près de l'entrée & de nombreux petits groupes se sont fait dire de revenir d'une à deux heures plus tard. Le local est certes de proportions modestes, mais l'engouement est bien réel & justifié. D'aucuns affirment qu'on y sert les meilleures foccace de Montréal &, sans les avoir toutes mises à l'épreuve, je serais déjà disposé à leur donner raison. La nôtre, à la burrata & aux figues, était divinement moelleuse, aérée, nuancée en saveurs & d'une présentation impeccable. Quelle belle entrée à la matière ! Vinrent alors se poser tour à tour les pâtes du jour (des orecchiette al dente à la bolognaise, si je ne m'abuse), le panzerotto diavolo farsi d'un fromage fondant s'étirant à l'infini (le premier amour de notre nouvelle partenaire de table) & le fameux panino polignano (à la pieuvre, rejoignant parfaitement les cordes riveraines de K.). Un authentique festin venu tout droit des Pouilles. Pour parfaire une expérience qui n'en pouvait déjà plus de succulences, deux choses. Premièrement, le coup de foudre pour le tartufo aux pistaches. Mon doux. Ils doivent avoir mis la main sur une copie tombée du ciel. Glacé juste à la bonne température pour lui procurer une consistance souple, il était crémeux, intense, parfumé. Ce fut, avec force & éclat, le véritable amour de tous. Deuxièmement, l'un des deux frères propriétaires, Pierpaolo, se promenait allègrement dans le restaurant, interagissant avec ses clients dans plusieurs langues avec candeur, sincérité & un esprit de service. Tout le monde a passé un formidable moment. 45 $ par personne ? Combien de fois a-t-on payé beaucoup plus cher pour trois fois moins ? & comment ne pas accorder une note parfaite ? C'était parfait. Arrivederci !
Super découverte !! Ça fait un moment que je veux y aller. Je n'étais pas déçue. Très très charmant comme endroit. La bouffe était tout simplement incroyable ! Meilleure burrata de Montréal ! Musique un peu forte, surtout pour un lunch. Service ok. En photo la Foccacia Che Figa, & le Carpaccio Bresaola, les orichietti à la pistache & burrata, & focaccia mortadelle

Was visiting from out of town for work & saw great reviews for this place online. After checking their hours online (which say 11-6 for Wednesday), driving out of my way to get there, & then spending 20 minutes trying to find somewhere to park in the neighbourhood to go to this restaurant, I got there at 5pm only to find the front door locked. Workers were inside, but seemed to signal they were closed. Very disappointing. Fix your hours online. Would love to try your food, but doesn't seem available for delivery, & if your hours aren't right, it kind of makes it difficult for customers. Not sure I'll bother to try again.
I have been wanting to try La Panzeria for a while so when I planned to come to Montreal this weekend it was near the top of my list. The Food - I got the focaccia with mortadella, burrata & pistachio, the toppings were very fresh & went very well with the focaccia. The bread was a bit chewy around the edge for my taste, looking at photos from other previous visitors it looks like mine may have just been a little more well done than usual. I had hoped to get a half-&-half focaccia with the mortadella & capocollo toppings which I had seen others post & recommend on social media however I was told at the cash register that this was not an option. The Experience - For anyone planning to visit here, please know that they DO take reservations. Their Instagram does not mention this, they have no website & seemingly no online booking however when I wanted to eat in I was unable to because I had no reservation. Overall the food was good however I wish that there is better information available online regarding reservations as I was really looking forward to the dine-in experience. I was also really looking forward to trying both the mortadella & capocollo toppings & am confused as to why this was not offered. If I were to return I would definitely make a reservation (I assume you do so by phone?) & go with a group so we can sample different things on the menu.

From the moment we stepped in, the welcoming atmosphere set the stage for what was such a memorable dining experience. J’aurais mis 6 étoiles si c’était possible. Voilà près de 4 ans que je suis à Montréal & je ne sais pas comment je suis passé à côté de magnifique restaurant. Tout était parfait; j’ai partagé avec ma copine des orecchiette pesto pistache burrata, ainsi qu’une focaccia cappocolo & oh mon dieu on se croyait en Italie… Le service était excellent, le serveur charmant & les patrons Pier-Paolo & Davide super accessible. On s’en est sorti pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable (il m’est arrivé de payer plus chère pour un Pizza Hut sur Uber eats). Je recommande à tout le monde de passage à Montréal de venir découvrir la cuisine & l’ambiance de La Panzeria.
CHEF THANK YOU AGAIN. Je suis venue manger avec un ami leurs délicieuses focaccia, j’ai des allergies sévères aux noix & le chef est venu en personne voir ce qu’il pouvait faire pour moi étant donné qu’il y en a beaucoup en cuisine ou risque de contamination. Il a été me préparer une focaccia exprès afin que je puisse manger. Il est venu nous amener les plats & il s’est assurer que tout allait bien. Je n’ai jamais reçu un service aussi attentif & gentil. Merci beaucoup ! Je suis extrêmement touchée. C’était un vrai délice !
Food was out of this world, & the service & staff was also next level. Chef came out to check on us several times & this really elevated the experience. Drinks were amazing (try the Bari Iced Tea) & the two pasta dishes we tried were phenomenal (don’t sleep on the eggplant Parmesan either!!). We will definitely be back on a Sunday to try the Braciole orecchiette.
