Reviews describe La Maison Dumplings (The Dumpling Hut) as a cozy, small spot with fresh handmade dumplings and a simple menu, where both steamed and fried options show off juicy fillings like pork and dill, lamb coriander, zucchini and shrimp, and vegetarian choices; the dough is praised for its chew and the fillings for being flavorful and generous, with several mentions calling it the best dumplings in Montreal and a hidden gem that feels like a home kitchen. The space is intimate, warm and unpretentious, making the experience feel welcoming rather than formal, with quick but friendly service from the staff and a generally fast turnaround, though some notes point to occasional noise, limited seating and the price value being more favorable for the portion size. Overall, the reviews converge on high quality, homemade feel, and a charming atmosphere, with some requests for more beverage options and occasional critique of service or pace, but a strong willingness to return.
Worse vegetarian dumplings in my life. There was just a cabbage, however I ordered dumplings with mushrooms & cabbage. Just tasteless & disappointing .
very good dumplings. it doesn't look like a restaurant it's more like an apartment that someone invites u into & u order food & eat. the chili oil is very spicy. do not add more than 1 tbsp if u want to live. the grandma making the dumplings is so cute but also resembles a robot. my only gripe is that there's not more chicken options for the dumplings. also that they don't have hot & sour soup. also it's kinda expensive.

Great tasting dumplings at a good price. Hand made, tasted fresh. Server was helpful & attentive. I had the standards. Pork + cabbage, & Lamb + cilantro. Vinegar is clutch. Hot sauce could use an upgrade.
It felt like walking into someone's home, in the best way possible. I really appreciated the unassuming, cosy atmosphere & being welcomed with warm smiles. The menu was concise & the food simple, but very flavorful & made with quality ingredients. I highly recommend the shrimp & zucchini steamed dumplings!
