Food was excellent!
There is someone making the dumplings on the spot !
No much variety, really all you get is a plate of dumplings , sauce options ( 3 ) plate was boring , but food was delicious.
Water with lemon served at the table , tasted weird , did not drink it .
Little hole in the wall with lots of potential.
Wir wurde sehr freundlich bedient. Auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten. Alles war sehr köstlich. Ich würde das Restaurant empfehlen.
The Dumpling Hut is a small, cosy spot with a warm, homey feel, the kind of hidden gem you might walk past if you don't look closely. The entrance is tucked in, & inside you'll find a wall covered in handwritten Post-it notes that adds a lot of charm & personality.
The dumplings are fresh & clearly made with care, & you can watch the prep happen behind the counter. We shared a mix: chicken & mushroom, lamb & coriander, cabbage & mushroom & seaweed & cucumber salad. Everything was satisfying & well-balanced, nothing too oily or heavy. The chicken & mushroom stood out, & the cucumber salad on the side was a refreshing touch.
Service is quick & friendly. The space is simple & unpretentious, but the food more than makes up for it.
Tips:
Go with two or three people so you can try more dishes without waiting long.
Order a mix of steamed & fried dumplings, depending on what's fresh that day.
Expect a short wait at peak times.
A relaxed, local spot for handmade dumplings that feel home-cooked & comforting. I'd go back for sure.
A rare gem when it comes to dumplings in Montreal! After trying several dumpling places, I chose this one as my favorite. The atmosphere, the quality of the dumplings, the charm of a restaurant in a house, & the many options make it my top choice. I recommend it to everyone.
Went here twice during our stay in montreal & would probably visit a thrid time if we didnt have to leave today. Yummi dumpling served in what feels like a friends living room. You can watch the Dumpings being shaped in the back of the room & the taste is exquisite. Charming little Business with great qualitiy products, quick, uncomplicated & welcoming.
Excellent dumplings! Unfortunately, we received mediocre service that night. The most'4 star' experience I've had.
We found this place while walking through the neighborhood.
It was about a 15 mins wait & it didn't disappoint.
We had 2 steam dumpling orders & 2 wonton soups. Our kids really enjoyed the soup dumplings. Would definitely come back when we're back in town.
Watching someone make the dumplings made me feel better my favorite was the wonton soup. It takes a little long for food but you know it is fresh
you can choose to have your dumplings either steamed or fried, but for whatever reason the fried dumplings don't even come with a SKIRT!! also the fried dumplings cost extra & are barely any different than the steamed ones
cool little spot anyways with an area where you can write your own little post-it at the entrance
Was in town for Pride. Visited this spot for Lunch on Friday at 1pm. It was not busy & service was fast. Staff was nice, friendly & answered all questions. I had the cucumber salad, wonton soup & a small portion of pork & cabbage dumplings (10pc).
Everything tasted great. The dumplings were tasty & I did not feel like I needed any sauce, though they had Chinkiang Vinegar, soy sauce & chilli oil available on the table. Wonton soup was small but very flavourful, a great entree. The cucumber salado was good, but a bit too salty.
Overall I would definitely come back!
Go here. See the nice ladies making dumplings. Eat the dumplings. Feel love.
this is one of the best dumplings i have ever eaten! This will be way better than your asian grandmas dumplings. Homemade & very juicy! The server was also kind & hardworking
incroyable!
We ordered #1 & #5. It was okay. Theres nothing to brag about. The atmosphere was okay. It was a hot day & the restaurant didn't have AC
Excellents dumplings les meilleurs que j'ai mangé à Montréal. Les farces goûtent vraiment ce que l'on commande, les dumplings sont frais. Le lieu est cosy.
