A resto with a tasting menu is always a good idea. Transport your tongue to the rugged terrain of the Sahara with this Mauritanian restaurant that offer a wide array of flavors while maintaining originality that still caters to a North American palate. I highly recommend the baobab & hibiscus beverage. I intend to return here often. You feel like you're back in Mauritania- hold the slavery of course!

Super chill vibes & such a great host. It's a per person menu, where the owner comes & explains the menu & food options. Food was great, but the vibes is what's worth the time. Musicians came at the end of the night & we had a great time listening to some music!

What a joy to come here, the decor is unique, you feel you are in a tent in the Sahara dessert. The food is excellent, couscous that is flavorful & delicious, & as an added bonus, everything is gluten free! The owner Atigh is a gem, a great person with a kind heart. My son absolutely loves this place, the date beef & lentil soup are fantastic!

The place: The atmosphere inside is good, simple comfy. Service: very lacking, expect no menu, except a guy who will seat you & offer you 3 things & disappear The food: taste is ok but the presentation is not good at all. Cleanliness: Could use some. Price: this is a puzzle, as I have no clue how I got charged over $90 for a plate that the guy mentioned will be $30, two soups, small hibiscus drink & small mint tea. Value: expensive for the all what has been mentioned, given no menu options.

We were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing .. my boys loved the 3 types of couscous served with the lentil soups (chicken with olives, beef with dates, & veggies with chick peas). The tea was sweet & very minty. We highly recommend this place for a tasty dinner & cozy time. Thank you!

L'endroit est magnifique & j'ai pu charger mon téléphone ce qui est assez positif mais le problème c'est que quand j'ai commandé seulement une chose le serveur m'a dit " juste ça ? & il m'a regardé avec un air de mécontentement. Après quand je voulais payer le mec m'a dit :" est ce que mon patron t'as dit quelque chose" & moi j'ai répondu"rien"& je lui ai donné l'argent, maiq il m'a pas rendu la monnaie & quand je lui ai dit qu'il m'avait pas rendu la monnaie il a répondu " Safi" je suis allée parlé avec le patron & il m'a dit c'est bon vous m'avez donné l'argent qu'il fallait & je lui ai dit ça coûte pas en tant que ça alors il m'a montré le ticket & j'avais raison il me devais de l'argent & j'ai dit ensuite merci mais il a répondu avec un air mécontent comme si j'avais insulté sa daronne,aussi quand je suis sorti le patron m'a demandé si j'étais algérienne & j'ai répondu oui, cette question m'a paru suspect vu la situation. Conclusion : c'est un attrape touristes & ils ont pensé que moi j'étais une pigeonne vu mon jeune âge.

Mes papilles gustatives n'ont jamais été autant satisfaite que dans ce restaurant. Les agrumes de la soupe aux lentilles a réussi à charmer mon odorat & mon palet ainsi qu'à excité mon appétit pour le plat principal. Le couscous est un phénomène provenant tout droit du ciel. Les portions sont colossale & la diversité des types de couscous réussi à fournir un plat complet & équilibré. Chapeau bât à l'équipe du restaurant Khaïma, je ne jure qu'en votre nom maintenant & vous recommande à tout mon entourage.
