Afficher toutcouscous(92) decor(63) prix(55) qualite(37) dessert(32) tea(31) recommend(30) chef(27) vin(24)It was Fantastic! They were really sweet & patient with my daughter & the food was sooo good! I am usually a picky eater but their soup & couscous were delicious😍 especially the beef made with date sauce👌 The tea was good too but just a bit too sweet, so if you dont like your tea too sweet, remember to ask for no sugar. Really worth the price 🙌🏼 Also they dont have a menu they always serve the same thing,a small bowl of lentil soup for each as an entree with pita, then a big plate of couscous with sweet beef, chicken & veggies to share between everyone (the plate on the picture was big & for 5 persons). Finally tea & a little piece of some type of coconut'cake' I dont remember what they called it😅 anyways So so good ❤? would recommend to go before 8 pm on weekends because it fills up fastVoir plus
Great experience , the cuscus plate was magnificent full of flavors highly recommend to have all three togetheVoir plus
A resto with a tasting menu is always a good idea. Transport your tongue to the rugged terrain of the Sahara with this Mauritanian restaurant that offer a wide array of flavors while maintaining originality that still caters to a North American palate. I highly recommend the baobab & hibiscus beverage. I intend to return here often. You feel like you're back in Mauritania- hold the slavery of course!Voir plus
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing .. my boys loved the 3 types of couscous served with the lentil soups (chicken with olives, beef with dates, & veggies with chick peas). The tea was sweet & very minty. We highly recommend this place for a tasty dinner & cozy time. Thank you!Voir plus
Amazing experience, the chef is the nicest person ever & the couscous is soooo tasty & rich in flavor, the lentils soup is amazing ! 10/10 would recommendVoir plus
We started with a lentil soup, which was super creamy & tasty. We had two large plates of couscous (one vegetarian & one with meat) as the main course & both were delicious. The portions are very generous. We were a large group of 12 people & there were leftovers. Service was also great & the hibiscus tea served at the end was refreshing. I recommend this place !Voir plus
Food was delicious+ it's a set menu for 30$ each that the cooks does & changes ! Loved that I didn't have to choose & could just enjoy the experience. The cook comes & presents as well what he has prepared for that day! Very lovely would recommendVoir plus

I have been here a few times & I'm always delighted with daily couscous offering, good for sharing. Service is friendly & efficient. Highly recommend.
My favorite restaurant in Montreal I try to eat here everytime I am in the city. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is lovely & we always have such a warm welcome from the hosts. I highly recommend this place! Try it you will not regret it!!
Loved the experience, sitting on cushions on the floor, the music, the big plate for everyone to share. Delicious food, great service & the perfect mint tea to end the meal. We will be back! Highly recommend for a group of friends or family reunion.
Did not like the food at all... all dumped in one plate - taste nothing - the place is dirty & smells old & dirty, Would NEVER go back or recommend this place
Excellent restaurant!
Food was great, staff very nice & friendly.
Only thing was that it was a bit expensive for couscous.
Would go back & I recommend
This restaurant is very cozy & the food is delicious. It's also a bring your own wine & all you can eat. I personally never ordered a second plate because the portion are big.
Would 100% recommend
Amazing staff & very welcoming. Delicious traditional Mauritanian food, I definitely recommend this place.
The ambience was very nice & the staff were great. The large table d'hote plate was 80% couscous which was a little disappointing, especially because it seemed that groups of 2 were given the same plate as our group of 3. Regardless, the food was delicious & I would recommend this place to someone who's looking to try Moroccan style food.
amazing. i loved not having to think about what to order, they just bring platters of food! They also accommodated gluten free & vegetarian persons with no trouble. def recommend!
What a wonderful meal! As an indecisive person, I love the setup of the menu. Hummus, soup, & a choice of three entrées (or you can ask for a big playter of all of them. My boyfriend is Berber & said our food is as authentic as it gets! The cook was welcoming & treats everyone like family. The food cooked is very labour intensive & done to perfection. We will return on the regular.
Warning to tall people: the tables are low to the ground & can be a bit clumsy to sit on. My bf is 6ft & managed though!
Highly recommend!
The food is amazing, really flavourful & filling & the spices were so authentic. The tea at the end of the meal was a real highlight/ just like I remember in Marrakech. The place does get a little warm as there isn't any air conditioning but they leave the doors open to try to circulate some air through. it kinda feels like you're in someone's home. Recommend to anyone who enjoys trying something new.
Lovely atmosphere. Host very pleasant
Food great...flavourful & bountiful. highly recommend
Wonderful! It's very liberating to not have to worry about what you are ordering. They just tell you what is being made that day, & then bring you some pita, hummus & dal style soup. Would highly recommend this place & would definitely go here again, maybe with a bigger group as that seems like a nicer way to experience this place.
Great food & a wonderful experience. When they found out we were celebrating a birthday they came out & played & sang for us. Loved it & recommend to all!
Great food, amazing ambiance, feels very genuine. Great for the adventurous eater. Love the different plates. Decor is really nice. Service is slow but quality of food & curteous staff makes up for everything. I highly recommend.
i must admit i love the food. really really like the nice platter. food was very tasty. i like the ambiance & the way you had to eat. reminds me of my home country. my partner & i found this place via Groupon.ca & we gave it a try. It was definitely worth it! I will certainly recommend this to a friend.
We just loved the gluten free options. We highly recommend the place
This restaurant doesn't look very appealing at first but once ur in.there's great customer service..the waiters are very generous..I bought my coupon on Groupon..it was money well spent..food was delicious & people are very nice..would recommend it for a casual dinner for a new experience:)
Went there with a coupon (30 for 60 worth of food) to try out this resto. There is no way on earth what we ate was worth anywhere near 60$. The entrees included cold pit bread (nothing exceptional). Main dish was good - a variety of three dishes served on one plate of couscous. The coupon didn't say it was a tasting menu but that's what we were told we would be served by the waitress. No menu available. Everybody had the same exact dish on their table. Not sure I get this concept of choice. Dessert included a tiny piece of baklava. It was worth it because of the coupon - but I'm not so sure I'd go back too many times at the regular price or highly recommend it.
