I visited La Forge Bistro Bar & Grill in Mont Tremblant on Friday night, February 6th for the very first time, & it turned into an experience I'll never forget, in the very best way.
From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming, warm, & cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening after a day in the village. Our server was absolutely lovely, attentive without hovering, friendly, & knowledgeable. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was excellent,fresh, crisp, & full of flavor. The whole dining experience was exactly what you hope for at a resort bistro.
What truly sets La Forge apart, though, is the exceptional integrity & care shown by their staff.
Unbeknownst to me, when I left the restaurant, I accidentally left my purse hanging on the back of my chair. I didn't even realize it was missing until I received a phone call from José letting me know they had found it. She reassured me immediately that my purse was safe & secured in the manager's office.
From there, Sam took charge of helping get it back to me in Ottawa. He carefully packaged it, used the FedEx label I provided, & communicated with me throughout the entire process. His professionalism, kindness, & proactive updates turned what could have been a nerve?wracking, stressful situation into something I felt completely at ease with.
Within 24 hours, my purse arrived back in my hands, thanks entirely to their prompt attention & genuine care.
La Forge isn't just a place with great food & a warm atmosphere, it's a place with remarkable people who go above & beyond for their guests. Their honesty, professionalism, & compassion left a lasting impression on me, & I'm truly grateful.
I will absolutely return & highly recommend La Forge to anyone visiting Mont Tremblant, not only for the meal, but for the truly exceptional service.

One of the most tender steaks I've had in my life & I'm a steak snob! Service was insanely quick, friendly, & efficient. If I had to think of a complaint, maybe the music is a touch too loud? But will be dreaming of the steak for days!
As a family of five, we were asked to wait outside for indoor seating & told it would be checked. Despite being first in line, another group that arrived after us was seated instead. The hostess was dismissive & clearly incompetent, & the staff showed no willingness to help. The service & overall attitude were terrible, & we were made to feel unwelcome-the treatment felt discriminatory & racist. Unacceptable. Horrible experience.
Service wasn't good. I ordered an old fashion. It was lacking syrup but Inwasnt able to tell the waitress because she barely came by. We wanted to try something else for food & I had to ask another waiter who was very nice. Runners were also very nice. Food was eh. We ordered poutin & it was so so. I did like the music. & the fire in the outside seating.

Exceptional menu. Dietary restrictions are clearly marked on the menu. All was available except for the Fondue. Of course that's what we wanted. So we had nachos forge & mussels. Both were absolutely delicious. Our server was helpful & friendly. We were on the top floor. The toilets were in the basement. That's a long way for old people in ski boots. We survived. Nice views through large glass windows opened to the slopes or village. Highly recommend.
This place serves a purpose. & when everything else is packed, it works. La Forge provides the most basic of food experiences - large portions make the cost worth it. Don't recommend their'Hot Cocktails'. They did not live up to their descriptions & were not delicious.
Travelled from Toronto , first time in Quebec & the birthday girl decided to book this restaurant for dinner last night. 7 of us & I was the only dark skin girl in the crew, I'm saying this in particular because the waiter a bald guy working the patio was beyondddddddddddddd rude to me from we sat down in the restaurant, they way he spoke to me & made slick remarks under his breathe made me feel so uncomfortable but because it was my friends birthday & he was nice to EVERYONE except me I did not respond as I did not want to ruin the night. At the end of the night I did not tip him a dollar, even after knowing how he treated me he made one final snark remark after handing back the pay system' YOU DO KNOW THAT GRATUITY WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT PRICE RIGHT' as if I am entitled to tip him after the service me as an individual received. Discrimination is the last thing I expected because of the colour of my skin. Will definitely not be back here or to Quebec!!!
This place is a total joke. $16 for add-on salmon for a tiny 3oz piece, on top of a $27 tasteless cobb salad with what tasted like kraft bottle generic dressing. The french onion soup had no debt of flavor & was under seasoned. The worst french onion soup I've ever had in Quebec. The fries were also under seasoned & had no truffle taste. The parmasan on top was just wierd looking. The portion size again tiny. The fries were greasy. The service was slow. The salmon on the salad didn't even taste fresh. Quite simply the worst meal I've had in Mont Tremblant.
Wir waren im Winter da und empfanden es im Restaurant etwas kalt. Dennoch ist das Ambiente sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, allerdings sind die Portionen aus unserer Sicht etwas klein und im Verhältnis teuer.
Très belle ambiance. On été venu pour un café. Alors que c'était uniquement pour manger. Le patron nous a quand même laissé & au final on était tellement qu'on a pris à manger. Pour un reste en station face aux pistes c'est quand même raisonnable niveau prix. Très bon chocolat chaud
