La Fabrique de Bagel Montréal offers an authentic Montreal bagel experience in a busy downtown setting, drawing visitors for breakfast or a light lunch and a chance to see bagels baked on site. Reviews note a wide range of cream cheese options and flavors, with some bagels described as fresh and flavorful and others as dry or premade and lacking in wow factor, while a few high price concerns appear across comments. Service quality varies from warm and efficient to slow or impersonal, and ordering flow can be confusing or the seating scarce in certain moments, though some visits benefit from friendly bilingual staff. The location inside a mall or the World Trade Center promenade provides comfortable seating for many, but others find the space limited or hard to locate, with some praising the overall ambiance and others focusing on the practicality of the setting. Overall, the reviews present a mixed but recognizable Montreal bagel scene where the value of the bagels and the experience depends on expectations for freshness, price, and service, and the place remains a notable stop for tourists and locals seeking an iconic bagel moment.
I absolutely loved this café/bagel shop-so much so that I'd genuinely go out of my way to come back, even all the way from Vancouver. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, welcoming, & effortlessly cozy. You can tell there's a lot of care put into every detail.
The bagels were fresh, perfectly textured, & easily some of the best I've had-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, & paired with such delicious, high-quality ingredients. Everything tasted homemade & thoughtfully prepared. The coffee was just as impressive-rich, smooth, & the perfect complement to the food.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were genuinely kind, friendly, & made the whole experience feel special rather than rushed.
This place isn't just a quick stop-it's somewhere you want to sit, enjoy, & come back to. If I'm ever in the area again, it'll be one of my first stops without hesitation. Highly recommend!
Threw the 2 coffees in the garbage after the first sip. Smelled like burnt coffe, tasted like burned coffee, belongs in the garbage. + The owner (or who ever that person is) is very unpleasant. The rest of the staff looks friendly. Don't waste your time or money!
One of the many franchise locations of this company. A bit disappointed in the lack of service but also very common nowadays where they can give you decent food but little to no service..yet they prompt you for a tip!
We went with no tip because we weren't being'served' & we self served with finding our own table & seat, we grabbed our own cutlery & napkins. We tipped ourselves but not tipping the people behind the counter. Their boss should be paying them their minimum wages to begin with & the tips should be earned as what the tipping culture truly means :)
The spreads were great & very tasty but there's not really that much of a wow factor. Americano.. was way too sour - either a poor choice of coffee blend or they messed up the coffee.
A classic, Montreal-style bagel with scores of premade sandwiches that they toast for you. A few other items such as fruit cups, nuts & some pastries, scones etc. The food is a good quality & fresh. They have a big coffee machine (though I don't drink coffee so I can't vouch for its standard). Good service, though not overly friendly. The mall that is its setting is quite spectacular.
Peope, it's inside the intercontinental hotel.. we were hardtime to locate this place. It's not on the street...😅
Bagel was fresh decent... Coffee was not good 😐 😕....
They are in RESO/Underground. This was our second time. We had toasted sesame bagels with regular cream cheese, juice & coffee. Very decent food & kind service.
Great food & friendly staff! With an amazing selection of bagels & cream cheese, bagel sandwiches & coffee, you are sure to enjoy your Montreal bagel experience.
Great bagel, made fresh in-house, & a nice variety of different cream cheeses. The staff were very friendly & the service was quick. The coffee was great too.

I found this place while looking for a place that was open in the morning. From the morning, many people seemed to be buying coffee & bagels. Since we already had bagels, we decided to just buy drinks. I saw several bottles of juice in the showcase on the right & thought I should try it, so I ordered the Spinach Apple Avocado (epinard pomme avocat) Juice. It was a juice with the texture of spinach & apple peel, the refreshing taste of apple, & the softness of avocado. It has a slightly bitter taste, but I actually like it because it takes away the feeling that lingers in your mouth for a long time when you eat something sour. Next time I visit, I want to try something else. I think the fact that it costs $6 per cup also plays a part. There are about 8 tables for two right in the store, & there are benches here & there, so it would be a good place to eat the food I bought here. I am also sitting on a high stool & drinking juice right now.
Very inexperienced staff which affected the overall experience. My girlfriend asked several times if she could create her own bagel or if she could have an existing one without the ham but the guy kept suggesting her other vegetarian bagels that didn't interest her, not out of meanness but mainly because of a barrier language (he was struggling both with English & French). Also, the tables in the common area were pretty dirty, I don't know who's responsible for them but it wasn't nice. Anyway, the bagels in the end were pretty good, we spent around 35 CAD for two with two coffees.
Great food & warm, friendly service. The coffees & teas are hot & very tasty. We were only in Montreal for three days & we had breakfast here on two of the days. Highly recommended.
