Went to this Restaurant as planned & was thoroughly satisfied with the ambiance, food quality & service. From the time , the charming DONATIENE showed us to our table beside a beautiful stone fireplace, & JEAN MARC, took our wine & food order we were deeply impressed with their charm & knowledge of food & drink available.
For appetizers the ladies took " FOIE GRAS POELE sur Blinis de Mais. This pan fried duck liver , served on cornbread was spectacular in presentation, taste & portion size. Coming from Ottawa/Gatineau area this dish is rare on our local menus, & always a treat when we can find it. I took CEVICHE de PETONCLES, CREVETTES MARINEES aux Agrumes & Coriandre ( Scallop Ceviche, Citrus -marinated Shrimps with Coriander ), a very tasty, refreshing appetizer that really did cleanse the pallet. For main courses, we had a LOBSTER SPECIAL OF THE DAY, A TUNA TARTARE with Mirepoix Green Apple, & COEUR de RIS de VEAU a la DIJONNAISE ( Veal Sweetbreads in a cream Mustard sauce ). This is one of my favourite French Cuisine dishes that is rare on Ottawa Area menus. I LOVED IT, BIG TIME.!! For dessert we shared a unIque TARTE AU SUCRE DECONSTTRITE ( . Deconstructed SUGAR PIE in Walnut Crushed Hot & Melting bites with Caramel & Vanilla Ice Cream. NEED I SAY MORE !!
Decor was chic Black & White, Wine list extensive & reasonable.
This establishment is exceptional & definitely worth a visit. The owner is Belgian & is seen visiting tables for comments & suggestions. One of the best Eating Experiences in the Laurentians. GARNETT GOW, ORLEANS, ONTARIO

What a fabulous restaurant. Was one of the best have ever been to for a truly immersive French experience with modern flair. Food was fabulous, service dignified & attentive & the sommelier was amazing to pair our wines. Litchi martini yummy. Hats off to the bar man.

I have been visiting & enjoying the Laurentians for a very long time, we discovered La Clef des Champs this summer & have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, the wine list & more importantly the service. What a great place .

Beautiful setting, great service, good wine list but the food can be better.
We went on a Sunday so maybe the regular chef was off that night.
