C'était la première fois que j'y allai depuis leur déménagement. L'endroit est sympathique mais beaucoup plus grand & plus froid qu'avant.
C'est une des meilleures tables de Montréal (à la hauteur du Renoir, de l'Européa), mais qui manque cruellement d'innovation. Cela fait au moins 5 ou 6 fois que j'y vais, & je suis toujours tombé sur quasiment les même plats. C'est délicieux à chaque fois, mais à près de 150$ / personne avec le vin, je m'attends à beaucoup plus.
Dommage c'était un de mes restaurant préféré, j'y retournerai pas avant au moins 1 an, voir si le menu aura changé.

Everything about this place is breathtaking - the food, the service & - unfortunately - the prices!

You go to La Chronique for uncompromising high cuisine - it's the kind of place where Dinner & Art meet.

Though everything in our 7-course tasting menu was extraordinary, if I had to pick a standout it was the dessert selection. It's rare, if you ask me, for dessert to be the highlight of an exceptionally good meal, but La Chronique's sweets were just out of this world.

Absolutely go - but preferably on an expense account! (Or go for lunch, when prices fall back down from the eveningtime stratosphere.)

UPDATE: Just went back to this place for the first time since they moved to their new location.

The new dining room is far more in tune with the style of cooking than the old one across the street used to be: contemporary, understated, cool & very, very stylish.

Lunchtime menu prices are not the paycheck-sapping monstruosities of the evening menu, & meals are a bit less elaborate, but the quality is the same. I've never had risotto so well made before, & I used to live in Italy.

La Chronique is everything a Fancy Restaurant should be. These guys are not foolin' around.

Je n'aimais pas l'ambiance de l'ancien resto: le nouveau présente un style épuré mais d'un froideur!
Bonne assiette & mauvais service. Se faire offrir un vin ouvert à $30.00 le verre tient de l'insulte.
Très cher pour la qualité & surtout pour le service excessivement lent.
Il y avait en tout 6 personnes dans le resto. Pas surprenant.

Meilleur resto en ville!!! Le service est très professionnel & discret, la bouffe est sublime, on sait réellement comment faire ressortir le goût de tous les aliments. Le prix très respectable pour la qualité de ce que vous mangez & la salle est petite calme & simple... WOW
