Stopped in on a Sunday morning with my camera bag after shooting some street photography in the Plateau, & La Chronique ended up being the perfect spot to wind down. The light coming through the windows was gorgeous & soft, which honestly made me wish I had kept my camera out. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict & it was absolutely worth every bite, really carefully put together. The staff were warm & unhurried, which you rarely find at brunch spots that are that good.
Every dish was unique, with a wonderful balance of flavors & ingredients. Each course was thoughtfully crafted, & the wine pairings were excellent-they elevated every dish to another level.
The service was attentive, warm, & made us feel very comfortable throughout the evening.
A special mention for how well they accommodated our dietary needs. Two people in our group were gluten-free, & although we had already mentioned it when making the reservation, the staff were fully prepared & attentive from the moment we arrived. We truly appreciated the care & attention to detail.
Excellente soirée sur tous les points. Service impeccable : aucune précipitation, à l'écoute, avenant. Les plats furent copieux, succulents, intéressants. Dispendieux, mais ça respecte ce que ça vaut amplement. Je recommande sans réserve ! Merci, Charles, pour le bon service ! Au plaisir.

Dès notre premier appel pour réserver, la communication a été impeccable - professionnelle, attentionnée & chaleureuse. & cette qualité de service s'est poursuivie tout au long de notre expérience sur place.
L'accueil, l'ambiance, le service, les plats… tout était absolument parfait. Chaque assiette était une oeuvre d'art, pleine de saveurs, de textures & de surprises. On a vraiment eu l'impression de vivre un moment unique, hors du temps.

Une table d'exception où la finesse de la gastronomie est exécutée avec maîtrise. Chaque plat fut une découverte savoureuse. J'ai particulièrement apprécié l'atmosphère feutrée & calme, offrant un cadre rare qui permet de converser en toute sérénité. Une très belle expérience.
Don't mind the negative reviews, they are the exception & you can expect they are related to the reviewers bad temper or entitlement level. Now to talk about the restaurant, the service was way up there, super friendly & accommodating. The food was also way up there, with a 6 course menu that defends itself very well against other well known names. The in-house sommelier was on his game & served us excellent wines with each of our plates. It will cost you a pretty penny to experience the multiple course menu with the wine pairing, but it will fall into the experience category, not the simple meal category. If you're willing to dish out several hundreds on an experience, it's worth your time.
Très bon restaurant avec une maîtrise de la gastronomie française. Belle expérience pour découvrir des plats raffinés, par contre peu ou pas d'ambiance, même pour un samedi soir. Davantage une expérience culinaire qu'une soirée inoubliable.
Restaurant INCROYABLE! Chaque service surpassait le précédent & les portions étaient de taille parfaite. Les serveurs étaient formidables & connaissaient bien leurs affaires. Le service était assez rapide (mais il y avait un événement privé en même temps) donc peut-être qu'il est normalement encore meilleur. En gros, expérience unique & délicieuse. J'ai particulièrement apprécié leur poisson blanc (cabillaud) & le steak avec topinambour 3 façons. Merci beaucoup pour ce repas inoubliable!
C'est l'une des meilleures expériences gastronomique repas qu'on a eu à Montréal. Nous avons profité du menu Mtl à table pour découvrir une cuisine raffinée, délectable, & que dire du service impeccable sans prétention.
Incredible evening at La Chronique for the first night of MTLàTABLE. The service was impeccable. Luca was attentive, knowledgable & engaging. The visits from Chef Olivier made the experience even more special. Every course & wine pairing were perfectly executed. I am still dreaming of the Gaspésie Arctic Char made with'Un petit peu d'amour'.
