I have visited this place a lot. The food is usually good but the last time I visited, I felt the quality was not the same. This was extremely frustrating due to the relatively high prices for the portion size.
Regarding the atmosphere, it has always bothered me since it is a small restaurant with many tables that are very close. It is usually really hard to sit down & talk since it gets extremely noisy.

Entré en solitaire par une une froid tristounet, Le Capital a coloré ma soirée. La nourriture est ultra fraîche & exquise; le staff chaleureux & sympatique, l'ambiance est joyeuse & les prix honnêtes. Je suis sorti repu, léger, heureux & ma nuit s'était ensoleillée.
Normally, La Capital's food is delicious, which is exactly why I recommended this restaurant for a large office order. This was not a random choice - it was based on good past experiences & the quality of the food.
Unfortunately, this particular order was a big disappointment for me. As mentioned, I ordered a cochinita torta & made it very clear that it should not include cheese, due to both intolerance & personal preference. Despite that, the torta arrived with a large layer of melted cheese, making it impossible for me to eat.
That's what made this situation especially frustrating: having high expectations based on how good the food usually is, & then not being able to enjoy it at all.
Again, I do want to highlight the positive side - the order for 12 people was handled very well in terms of organization, individual packaging, & name labeling, which I truly appreciate.
I hope this feedback helps improve attention to special requests in the future, because when things are done right, your food really is excellent.
I personally suggested ordering from La Capital at my office because I've always considered your food delicious. I ordered a cochinita torta & we made a very clear & specific request for it NOT to include cheese. This was emphasized multiple times, as I am intolerant to cheese & I also do not like it. We are always extremely careful with this detail when ordering from any restaurant.
Despite that, my torta arrived with an enormous crust of melted cheese. Unfortunately, this made it impossible for me to eat it at all. I was really looking forward to this meal, & instead I ended up sad & frustrated. The entire experience was ruined for me.
That said, I do want to recognize something positive:
We placed a large order for 12 people, & the food was very well organized, individually packed, & clearly labeled with names, which is not easy to manage. That part was handled very professionally & deserves acknowledgment.
However, ignoring such an important dietary request is a serious issue. I truly hope this feedback is taken into account, because attention to these details makes all the difference.
We went for lunch during week so it was crowded, i think next time aroun 14.00 pm it will be easier. Taco was good, juicy & guacomole was fresh & tasty.Excellent margarita !Staff polite, friendly .Our waitres Sonya very nice,cheerful, energetic & happy person made our stay very positive expierience.

Excelente servicio, el sabor de la comida 100% mexicano, y la amabilidad de la gente estuvo de maravilla, sobre todo de la polaca/mexicana Sonia, muy recomendable
This place is one of the best in Montreal for tacos. There are all kinds of protein from fish to pork to beef to lamb. We found the tacos to be tasty but I only have it 4 stars because I believe they can do better considering they are charging 5.50$/taco & depending on your selection of meat the taco price can go up another 1.50$. The server was nice. The atmosphere was ok but nothing particularly special. Overall it's a tasty taco takeout place but slightly overpriced.
Great spot for margs & food. We stopped in for apps & margs on our walk & loved the vibe. Its connected to another restaurant in the'China town' area. Very cool!

One of our favorite meals in Montreal. They serve on classic Chinese-restaurant dishes to make a nod to their location in Chinatown. Their signature tacos are thick & freshly made with flavorful fillings (mushrooms & carnitas were our favorite). Guacamole was excellent. Recommend making a reservation because it's small & gets busy.
