La Campagnola a tout d’abord commencé en 1981, sous forme de petite charcuterie du coin, pour ensuite en 1995, devenir une sandwicherie plus reconnue (Camps), pour se transformer en 1999 en restaurant "Apportez votre vin" avec des spécialités faites maison reconnues à travers Montréal. C’est en 2009 que nous commencerons à faire vieillir notre bœuf Canadian de qualité pour ajouter de la nouveauté à nos menus.
Vivant dans un monde en pleine évolution, la cuisine doit suivre cette vague de changement et de renouveau, c’est pourquoi en 2018 nous repoussons nos limites et nos standards pour vous faire découvrir notre nouveau concept de Steakhouse italien, sans oublier nos spécialités authentiques toujours aussi savoureuses. Really good Italian food if you want to eat there you definitely need a reservation it's packed all the time but that's a good things because the food is excellent & came pretty fast. Important to know that it's bring your own wine & they just offer classic cocktails. The service was good the servers are so sweet & welcoming.
April 2026: La Campagnola never let's me down. The menu changes from time to time but the quality & variety of menu items are always exceptional.
This time we enjoyed the pastas & the veal.
The pasta is always cooked to perfection, never under or over cooked, & the sauses are typical Italian combination of flavors. The Veal is always tender & served with potatoes & veggies or pasta.
The portions are amazing. Make sure you're hungry.
Will we go back? Absolutely 💯
2025: Amazing Italian cuisine. It's been a while since I have been here. Nothing has changes except the menu is even better.

I have been three times to La Campagnola. Once, almost 20 years ago when it was an italian BYOW, before it was an Italian steakhouse. It was a good italian, one of the best Italian BYOW for sure. My 2nd visit everything was close to perfect: caprese salad, filet mignon & another steak, fries, rapini, mushroom. It deserved 5 stars. My most recent visit, the essentials were ok: the fileet mignon was very goos, but the rapini tasted of water & the tiramisu was ... I did not finish it. So, 4 stars. Strangely, I had the same experience with Gibbys in old Montreal, the steak was good but the mushrooms & spinach were awful. This was 8 years ago, & have never returned to Gibbys. Maybe I will return to La Campagnola, but when you botch something simple, it is not reassuring.
This Italian steakhouse restaurant is wonderful & cozy. The service is good 👍 & friendly. & the food is exceptional. Especially the steaks 🥩. I had the 160z Kansas bone in strip & it was simply delicious 😋. It was expertly aged, seasoned & cooked perfectly. It melts in your mouth.
The grilled octopus was nice too.
A++ experience here.
I'd like to say first & foremost, I have worked in the restaurant industry for years when I was younger. I'm Greek, & we love food. La Campagnola was a restaurant I first went to in 2017. The authentic Italian food prepared in such a craftsmanship manner floored me. A bring your own wine place that had the best Italian food I've ever had. My friend who found it organized groups of 6-8 of us at a time. We would get so many appetizers & our main meals & would split it all as a group. Very affordable & incredible wait staff no matter who was working. Some senior staff some new staff... Didn't matter everyone was amazing. Years later I came back. Nothing has changed except the decor. Nicely updated. The food was as good as I can remember, saw some familiar faces. I brought someone there for the first time & I got to relive the surprise & enjoyment on someone's face who first tastes the food here. I love this place.
The best hidden gem in Montreal is in Lasalle! This restaurant is a combination family Italian & steakhouse. The owner greeted us at the door, showed us to our table, talked with us at our table & after we ordered came back & told us we ordered too much! When does that ever happen? We had a wonderful evening- all the staff are exceptional. Every staff always had a happy face.Parking around back or on the street. BYOB also! We sat down, we were immediately served fresh hot rolls. When you walk in you see the meat for sale at the counter. There is also excellent choice of homemade pastas. Their meat is the best quality & you taste it. The owner came by our table with a huge tray of five+ different seasonings if we needed to add to our meat. We did not. You could hear yourself talk. Restaurant has wood tables with black accents. Can't wait to return.
O.k. let's be honest. It's a leeeetle pricey BUT, & its a big BUT, the food is absolutely, hands down, some of the tastiest Italian in the hood. The Charcuterie Board is a must try. We paired it with the herb & Parmesan fries. Delish! Then I had the pasta il limone. Outstanding. Truly. Wanted canolli for dessert but they weren't on the menu. I cried a little. But the donuts (fricatelli? Frigatelli? Frigwhatwasit!) Were also delicious.
Do it! Go! Impress your boy, your girl, your boss, your mom n dad!
Most of all? Do it for your tummy.

This might just be a hidden gem. Food was very good & service also. An italian steakhouse is not a common thing so I was sceptical but their meat is dry aged on premise & the result is outstanding. Full of flavour & tender. Lemon paste dish is nice & refreshing with fresh pasta. Hosts very accomodating even for small food adjustments. Oh & its bring you own wine :) will return.
Great little Italian restaurant. We've been going there for years & have never been disappointed. Whether a dinner for two or a group of over 50. Great bring your own wine. Highly recommend.

Le meilleur resto italien apportez son vin à Montréal ( apportez vos meilleures bouteilles de vins & vous ne serez pas déçu). Je connais ce resto depuis 22 ans & & c'est toujours aussi bon. TOUS les plats sont tout simplement délicieux. Le service est impeccable. Bravo à Joe, Dino, Maria & tout le staff. Je vous aime, vous êtes les meilleurs.
