Since its opening, La Boulette has become a fixture in Rosemont and the diverse clientele represent the people of the neighborhood. Steps from the Beaubien Cinéma, this is the perfect place to enjoy a gourmet burger or a great tartare, before or after a show, with family, friends or a special someone.
The restaurant is renowned for the simple, tasty food and the fresh quality ingredients. We serve local lamb and duck, encouraging Quebec producers and everything is carefully prepared on site with amazing attention to detail. Finally, the wine list offers only private imports and changes depending on new arrivals.
Our Specialties
La Boulette offers guests an authentic and comforting cuisine. Quebec lamb, artisan bread, home-made fries and sweet potato fries. Deluxe Burgers, duck confit poutine, fish and chips. A great variety of tartar; tuna tartare, deer tartar, beef tataki. The wine list is only carefully chosen private import.
LA BOULETTE shines as a cozy neighborhood spot where burgers, tartares and poutines are consistently praised and the vibe is warm and unpretentious. The menu is noted for generous portions and fresh ingredients, with standout items such as the blue cheese burger, gravlax and a well balanced poutine. The service is described as friendly, attentive and sincere, helping create a welcoming atmosphere for friends, families and colleagues. The setting is intimate with a small room and a sunny terrace in summer, and the pricing is considered good value for the quality. Occasionally the space gets noisy and pacing can be uneven, but the overall impression is that LA BOULETTE is a reliable favorite that many people return to.

We waited almost an hour but it was a warm night. We split a bottle of wine .Waiter opened the bottle then served some wine to each but after that never poured any wine again. I expect open & forget in a BYOB not a licenced restaurant The free water bottles offered the water tasted good . The design of the diningroom room was not adjusted for noise control . When people talk & the sound bounces on the walls it is so loud that you have to talk loud for others to hear you & after 1.5 hours the noise truly got
On my nerves & I was happy to leave .
Given that it is a very busy & profitaabke spot hiring a sound proofing service to install solutions would be a very good gift for all customers . Onto the food .I had a beef tartare to start which I have to say was the best tartare ever . Better than l Express . After that was the Meal sized Salmon salad . Asked for medium but was a tad overcooked . I did not turn it back because the taste was good . The dressing was well balanced . Tasted the mushroom burger that my guest had . She liked it . As someone who follows a Keto style diet that would not do for me . Given so many people are eating Keto style suggestion to add protein ingredients to lift the protein value . Maybe add a quail egg smack on top of your mushrooms & a few toasted pie nuts & a slice of cheese & use a bread bun built with protein ? You don't have to listen but if you do Keto fans will appreciation with devotion ..
Thé pouding charmeur was as good as the last time I had one at Globe when the chef had it as a special item with shavings of black truffle & blueberries in an orange Grand Marnier syrup . The two very different . This one here stands out as an outstanding choice to share . One portion will push your sugar intake into the spiked zone for 4 but was amazing anyway . I would offer a scoop of home made sorbet as an extra low in sugar to offset the deliciously sweet profile . Just suggestions the neighborhood loves the spot. Prices are fair . With taxes & tip spent 123
For two. If you don't order wine the bill is less & if you don't order a starter is cheaper again . Once dessert was
eaten we were asked if we wanted coffee & ten min after we were asked if we wanted to enjoy anything else . & the bills were delivered . Expect the bills to be delivered . This is not a hang out spot . Always a line up . Go there . Eat enjoy & after that do what Europeans do .' Take a walk' That's what we did
