Have the Mario Purse Sandwich. So so so good. Would come back & recommend. The Gluten Free food options & pasta is impressive as well.
Awesome sandwiches. The owner took the time to get to know us & chatted about his story. A superb gluten free option. Go eat but don't miss out on the conversation, very interesting man.
I was genuinely surprised at how affordable the food was, especially considering it was freshly made & a good portion size. It was also delicious, & it's clear that the owner Gordie cares about providing good, safe, affordable options for celiacs. If I lived in Montreal I'd be a regular for sure.
There truly is nothing else like this place around. The food options & desserts are amazing, & the service is top notch. Where else are you going to find a GF mac & cheese grilled cheese! Gluten free or not, you need to come here!
Got some a couple sandwiches to go, a cookie & some groceries.
The owner was very kind of sociable, & service was quick & friendly.
As a person with coeliac, being able to eat anything on the menu is such a rarity. This place is clean, affordable, & tasty. I didn't check to see if there was seating options outside the store, but inside there wasn't. The atmosphere is that of a grab & go counter in a specialty grocer's
Chicken parm sandwich was a banger! Philly steak was good, & the chocolate chip cookie was thin & chewy (which I like). I inhaled everything before taking a picture.
All in all, would go again for sandwiches to go on a park day!
My wife & I just ate there & it was absolutely delicious! She had the chicken parm & I had the burger, which nailed a Big Mac! Not only was the food great, the owner was really nice, welcoming, & very funny. I should point out that I have no gluten intolerance but I tend to eat gluten-free options as my wife is celiac. So, my point is that the food is simply delicious! 😊
Whether you are celiac or not, this place is more than excellent! Their purse sandwich is so good & with so many options to choose from. It's a nice feeling to be able to eat something so good without having to worry. We also had the chocolate chip cookies & they are also amazing. Impossible to distinguish them from the regular ones. 😋
To top it all, we had a nice chat with Gordie, such a nice person! We will come back for sure!
From your italian customers 😉
I know I only took pictures of their ladyfinger desserts, but the real star was their purse sandwiches! I ate it too quickly to photograph. Gordie (what a lovely guy) made them fresh to order, & they were fantastic. If you're looking for a Celiac-friendly lunch restaurant with delicious & unique options, don't miss Bolo à Lolo!
If you're gluten free & tired of overpriced, mediocre options, this place is a gem. The sandwiches are actually affordable, the hot food is incredible, & everything tastes like a real homemade meal-not some sad substitute. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food, from the fresh ingredients to the authentic, comforting flavors. They also have great homemade meal supplies that make eating gluten free way easier during the week. This spot is a total win & easily one of the best gluten-free shops around Montreal. They also cater to a few other allergy options as well.
On top of the amazing food, Gordy-the owner-is genuinely nice & welcoming. He's always friendly, takes the time to talk with customers, & clearly cares about both the food & the people he's serving. That kind of hospitality really sets this place apart & makes you want to keep coming back.
