Finally popped in here & it's SO GOOD. Finalement, un spot sans gluten où tout n'est pas nécessairement végane!
Lovely owner, genuinely scrumptious comfort food, & all celiac + nut-free.
This would be a great spot for parents with children managing intolerances or people newly exploring gf food. Tried the lasagna sandwich & it was gone within a block. J'ai hate d'essayer les surgelés!
I had the croque madame while I was visiting Montréal in November & I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I was extremely impressed by just how delicious & high quality it was being it was completely gluten free. As someone with celiac, it was so nice to find a place that offered so many amazing gluten free options & at such a reasonable price. The owner, Gordy, & his daughter were delightful to talk with & made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this place to not only anybody with gluten intolerance but to literally anyone that enjoys good food. 10/10 rating from me. Will definitely be back when I come to visit again in the future.
Sucks i cant give higher than 5 stars! Very nice ex-Head Chef that has celiacs disease himself (As do I). My girlfriend couldn't tell it was really gluten-free.
None of that flaky & crummy dough you find in GF doughs. The prices are extremely affordable & quite filling. The lasagna is personally my favourite. We got muffins & cookies & they are very moist & aren't hard & dry. Definitely recommend this.
A great find in Montreal! No need to be celiac to enjoy this delicious food!
Owner is sweet & kind.
I'd be here everyday if I didn't live more than 400km away!
Aside from the amazing wide selection of celiac/ gluten free products, this was the most welcoming place I've even set foot in.
The homemade (sandwiches) « sacoches « are mouthwatering, fresh & exquisite taste!
To top it off, he makes on the spot homemade fresh desserts!
An absolute must try! Will definitely go back.
Thanks Gordy , aka, bobo Wardy. lol
Awesome for Celiac people 🍝 This place is great to get a few gluten free groceries such as pasta (tortellini, ravioli) or chicken schnitzel.
Finally we had some delicious sandwiches, I recommend the mushroom one.
The owner is super nice 👍
I'm so happy I discovered this shop! I'm celiac but my partner isn't, we both ordered a sandwich & it was the best one I've had since I stopped eating gluten! My partner liked it so much he wanted to order a second one! You can also buy fantastic gluten free products like wafers from Italy!
The owner is also lovely conversationalist!
The food was amazing, & very easy for celiacs in Montreal to feel at home in an amazing breakfast/lunch spot. The crepe sandwiches were incredibly affordable & delicious. The staff & owner were also a treat to meet, & they really showed care for their customers. A must go experience in Montreal for gluten free people
What an amazing find! Always on the look out for gluten free places, & La Bolo a Lolo takes the cake. Sandwiches are absolutely amazing & made right there in front of you. 100% gluten free makes you feel extremely comfortable if you're celiac, but the taste & texture is so well done that non-gluten free people will be just as pleased. This place makes great strides to make gluten free food accessible & affordable!
Just went there with my girlfriend & her mom, the owner is super sweet! Everything is gluten free, Gordie explained he's a fellow celiac & gives the place/food careful attention. The prices are really affordable, & the food is delicious & super accessible for people with dietary restrictions & allergies!
Great food & good vibes whether you're celiac or not. Gordon is a great ambassador for Montreal if you are visiting. Plenty of prepared food as well as grocery items such as sauces & pastas if you want to prepare yourself.
This place deserves more attention! I'm neither celiac nor gluten intolerant, but the food is delicious, & I'm thankful that people with celiac disease have access to affordable & very tasty options in the neighborhood.
The sandwiches are delicious, & the grocery products are also gluten-free & just as tasty!
I will go again !
This place is 100% gluten free! I met Gordie the owner today who is a fellow celiac & he made myself (celiac) & my boyfriend some wraps. I ordered the mac & cheese & my boyfriend had the Mario one & it's almost like a panini. The wrap itself didn't fall apart, the taste was very delicious, the GF chocolate cookie was nice & gooey, the owner is pleasant. The prices you can't beat- mine was $6 & my bf's was $8 plus tax. He also had grocery items to make yourself which were decently priced as well. My boyfriend normally isn't fond of GF items but was impressed with this food. You have to go here & try it!
I have celiac & can here for lunch with some friends & we had a great time. We didn't wait long, the owner was welcoming, & the food was comforting & delicious. Part of the shop is also a 100% gluten free market with some great choices so that was also amazing as a celiac.
The owner of this shop is the friendliest man ever! He was so welcoming & kind to my friends & I from NY who do not speak French so we had trouble reading things & he was more than happy to help us decide what we wanted! The best thing is, my friend who has celiac disease could have LITERALLY ANYTHING in the whole shop! My friend was so excited & the owner was so happy to see it! He makes the sandwiches & drinks right in front of you & everything was delicious! On top of all that, my friends & I were soaking wet & cold from the rain & he was more than happy to let us sit & eat in his shop & he talked with us! He is an amazing man running an amazing business! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!!!
