Located in Verdun, la Bêtise is the result of four friends who were wondering how to enhance food and wine pleasures. The tapas lounge-bar formula was created to offer an extraordinary evening to enthusiasts of culinary experiences: explosive tapas for all pallets, inventive main dishes, elaborate and original wine and cocktail list. You can share and explore classics that are adapted to fine cuisine in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. La Bêtise is the ideal place for a good time.

Cute ambiance. They have a oyster 1$ happy hour, the oysters were very good. Also ordered cauliflower it was ok but not wow. The menu is a bit all over the place for food genre. Would go back for oysters but not regular menu.

We got the seafood platter which was an amazing value for the amount of food & perfect serving size for 3 people with a side of fries. HOWEVER unlike the individual oyster servings, they were not on ice with the platter & so their internal temp rose pretty quickly which caused my whole group to feel quite ill shortly after dinner… if you get the platter request the oysters on ice until they permanently change it!

We got the seafood platter with extra oysters. The only issue is the oysters weren't on ice so a couple of us felt a bit sick afterwards so maybe ask for them on ice. Besides that, the rest of the platter was really good & so were the drinks.

Great ambiance, service & food. Happened to go on $1 oyster night, which was yummy. We had the giant shrimp which was great. Disappointed with the calamari. Maybe the batter or sauce, but it just wasn't jiving with us. The Mac n Cheese was delicious although a little sparse on chorizo. The cocktails were perfectly made with care. Had a wonderful evening, but it was on the pricey side in the end, it not uncommon for this class of restaurant.

Tried out their $1 oyster deal on Tuesdays. The oysters were quite good & you can get them in a batch of 6 or 12. Service in between is a bit long since it's a busy night but it's not too bad if you get a side (although I find the sides are quite expensive for what they are). We were a big group as well so I figured it would take longer, great locations for groups as there is ample seating. Staff is friendly & fast! I recommend for oysters.

We really enjoyed the food, however the service needs refining. Everything came promptly, however we specified bringing oysters out first & the rest of the dishes later. That wasn't respected.
The waiter seemed as though serving us was a painful task. We even tried engaging him in conversation & he said he was introverted & would leave our table as soon as possible. He made efforts to avoid us. We wouldn't go back to this restaurant solely based on the poor service.

Wow. Every dish was exquisite. The service was fabulous. We sampled many dishes & everyone agreed this was some of the best food we've ever eaten. The fresh oysters were perfect. The tuna tataki, beef tartare, crab bites, calamari, lamb chops - we all agreed it was the best we've ever had. We all agreed to think of any excuse to go back :) we left full (but not feeling stuffed) & happy :) the prices are varied & reasonable. Even the salad was so yummy! Lots of drinks - the sangria looked pretty fantastic lol nice ambiance, lively but not too much, you can dress up or be casual.

My favourite restaurant on Wellington street in Verdun. Had the lamb, cauliflower, Mac & cheese, oysters, & drinks last night with a friend who'd never been & is a foodie & he was wowed the whole way through. & the staff is always just amazing & part of what makes this restaurant so special to me.

Ate there saturday, reso for two. Amazing service. Delish food. Music slightly loud & 2000 ish. Would still recommend. We had seafood plater? 75 $ for two? Oyster, tartare, crab, calamari seaweed salad. Fantastic.

As usual La Bétise exceeded expectations. Amazing oysters at 1$, fall off the bone ribs(definitely a must have!), perfectly seared tuna, buttery lobster & scallops, balanced & tasty drinks...I will keep coming back. So happy for this restaurant especially in verdun!!! The wait staff are attentive & knowledgeable the music & ambiance makes you feel at home. This restaurant is honestly a gem. You gotta eat there.

We came for the $1 oysters & the fabulous cocktails! We were not disappointed. I had been here myself a couple times before & decided to bring some new peeps this time 'round. They were pleased with the food, the service (Dany our waiter, was great!), the drinks & the overall ambiance of the place. I definitely recommend La Betise - Verdun if you're looking for a cozy, relaxed vibe with amazing cocktails & great food (The fried Calamaris, the Edemames their Tuna & Beef Tataki & the Crab bites are my top choices) *On a side note, I tend to book a reservation for when they open up as it does get quite busy later on. Do take it into account if you go in after 7pm as there will be some delays getting the drinks out (they are worth the wait but all hand-shaken at the time of order, all is super fresh & nothing is pre-mixed). Hope you enjoy it as much as we did ;-)

Food is so yummy & fun! My favorites, the oysters, lamb dumplings, Bahn mi grilled cheese, crab bites...& service was one of the best I've ever had !
