Our daughter loves ramen & had the Ramen Noir-she absolutely loved it. The shrimp'Ebi' & the udon were also delicious. Eddie & Luna were amazing & made the experience even better!
First, the waitresses were amazing! Very friendly & patient. Couldn't get my darn scanner to work & the girls were a big help. The food? Well, just perfect as far as I'm concerned. I know ramens, & the Tonkotsu ramen I had was ON POINT. I couldn't get enough of the broth. Chapeau au chef! My son had the beef tataki with rice on the side. Can you say'tender'! Simply melts in your mouth. & that sauce...Yeah, I had to try some. It was worth every penny spent. Loved it & will definitely go back. Spread the word, baby!View more
Ramen au porc excellent, surtout la petite montagne de champignonsView more
Great izakaya place close to the Forum. Went there for a movie night & I enjoyed some takoyaki & had ramen, which were really good. The ambience is awesome, properly themed after Japanese izakaya & playing non-stop city pop & 80/90s anime theme songs. Will definitely go there again.View more
Amazing experience. The staff is so friendly & the food is delicious, highly recommend the ramen & mango cheesecake!View more
Impeccable service with a smile! The food (ramen & karrage) was very good. The only reason I removed 1 star for the food is because I've had better (more meat, juicier karrage) elsewhere. Beautiful interior with Japanese music playing which adds to the atmosphere!View more
Japanese vibe all the way!
The food was perfect...good ramen & my favorite Tonkatsu.
I should've asked double the sauce since I keep craving itView more
Best Ramen in town for sure. Their tempura is really good as well. It is served in a fancy salt but it's really amazing & a must try. Been there twice already. Weekdays are quiet but on the weekend make sure to reserve in advanceView more
Went to kyodai Izakaya for the first time today, & what an amazing surprise!! We ate korokke, the curry katsu & a bowl of ramen. Everything was absolutely delicious! The korokke & Katsu were so wonderfully crispy, pork was juicy too! The rice was perfectly cooked & the ramen was simply delicious. The staff was friendly & polite & caring, always making sure we were fine without being abnoxious. We simply had a wonderful time.View more
One of the best experience I had at a restaurant, the ramens are very tasty as well as the chicken curry 🤤View more
It was incredible! We had a bunch of appetizers (the veg gyoza was insane) & the ramen was delicious. Very filling, & super friendly staff!!!View more
I've been to Kyodai twice now, & both experiences were wildly different, with the second visit being quite upsetting & unfortunate.
I'll start with the first visit. My partner & I stopped in there to grab a drink while we waited for our reservation at another place, this was back in January. The staff were super nice with us & we were chatting quite a bit, & they gave us some menu cards to share with others & a stamp card. We were hype, it was a great time! We left & went to our other stop, then we decided to come back for more dinks. The staff welcomed us back & once again we were talking lots & had a wonderful time. They asked us to leave a Google review & I wanted to, but I decided to wait til I could go back to get some food & take photos to add with the review. So I convinced a couple friends by telling them about our experience & sharing the menu, & we all excitedly chose a date & made a reservation.
Onto our second visit. We had a reservation last night (so early March) & it was not nearly as friendly or enjoyable. The staff didn't remember us which was fine & expected, though a little sad. After about 15minutes, myself & the two others we brought had ordered drinks about 10mins before my partner arrived, & we didn't get those drinks til about another 10-15mins after he arrived. We then waited another 20mins at least before I had to waive someone over to take our order. It took a long time for food to come out, which I sort of expected with it all being made fresh & it was a busy night, but items came out in staggeringly different times. One of us had also ordered a miso soup & we asked for it again twice before we decided to just take it off of our order. We also asked for water when we placed our first drink order, & again when we ordered our food, & we had to ask a third time, we didn't get water until after all our food had come out, so about an hour & a half into our visit. Some of the food was good & very tasty, but much of it was disappointing. The squid was overcooked & very tough, the korroke were overcooked & hard, the udon noodle soup was very oily, the tonkatsu ramen seemed like it was made with instant noodles, the sabo & duck tataki had way too much ponzu, it was like it was in a pool of it. We also noticed that we consistently were seeing other tables getting served much faster than us & having much more attention from the staff, while we never had anyone check on us & had to keep asking for things. It was like we were non existent. We decided to leave, & admittedly the person who paid said they didn't overlook the receipt before paying because they just kind of wanted to get out, but a couple hours later we looked at the receipt & saw we were charged for 2 pitchers of Sapporo for 44$. We never ordered Sapporo or any kind of pitcher, so there's absolutely zero reason we should have been charged for such. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Both of these instances feel like we were in two completely different places, & given how much fun & how much we enjoyed the staff when we first went, I never would have thought we'd return to have an experience that felt so opposite. I would like to think that it was just a busy night or they were understaffed or something, but that last experience was very saddening & I really don't think I would come back after that. I'll still give a couple stars because of how our first visit went.View more
Les meilleurs ramen de Montréal, vrai chef japonais. Des goûts & saveurs extraordinaires !!View more
Ramen: good quantity, broth could be thicker, good meat Curry katsu: very creamy, nice crunch, chicken a little chewy Food came out fast!View more
This place is such a gem! The interior & the music created the perfect vibe✨ We only got to try the ramen, but I can't complain. The broth was perfectly seasoned & the noodles were super chewy. This might just be my favourite ramen place!View more
Assez déçus par ce restaurant, je ne recommande pas les ramens, goût basique & presque aucune garniture ( légume ou viande).View more
This was excellent! Food was on point Japanese. Duck tataki is out of this world good. Curry & ramen both absolutely on point. Excellent imported plum wine. All the tapas style food was fantastic. Staff loves their job & it shows. They were able to whip up a delicious mocktail for my friend who doesn't drink without an issue. 5 of us went & nothing hit the table that wasn't great. Give it a try you wont regret it! Apologies for the duck photo we were to excited & ate some before taking the pic 😜View more
Incredible food, & tremendously kind service. We will definitely return. Thank you! (Will not recommend the Ramens , strongly recommend the Curry rices)View more
Karaage was typical. Takoyaki is always a classic. Duck tataki was refreshing. Tako wasabi was tasty but super tiny. The pork ramen was kinda tasteless & they make it so you have to dump the ingredients into the broth & not the other way around which splashes easily.View more
