"Kettlemans Bagel opened in Ottawa in August of 1993. When the business started, our mission was to make the best bagels you could find. By rolling, kettling, and baking traditional Montreal Bagels in a wood-burning oven using hand-picked hardwood, and maintaining an unwavering commitment to the traditional quality of the food, we have become a food institution — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year — for over 25 years. However, tradition does not mean much if the authenticity is gone."

Smoked meat on a normal bagel was fine. Smoked meat wasn't salty. The single pumpernickel bagel was dry, hard, & not freshly made - disliked.Voir plus

First time in Montreal, we discover that a local specialty is BAGELS (I thought New York had the monopoly of that), & upon the recommendation of the staff in our hotel for a good place nearby, we rush to Kettlemans to check it out. Well, we were not disappointed: the bagels are very good, with all the necessary condiments (various types of cream cheese, lox, onions, etc.). Staff was friendly & efficient, the place is new, clean & well organised. We will go back.Voir plus

Le personnel est toujours accueillant & fournit des explications détaillées sur les plats ; Ksikes a notamment fait preuve d'une patience & d'une assistance exceptionnelles lors de ma commande. Ma dernière commande, qui comprenait une omelette western sur un bagel tout garni & un grand cappuccino, s'est élevée à 13 $. Si le prix est raisonnable, la taille des bagels & l'intensité du cappuccino pourraient être améliorées. L'établissement maintient un environnement impeccable, même en période de forte affluence. Cet établissement est vivement recommandé aux amateurs de bagels de qualité.

The bagels exhibit a delightful crispness & exceptional flavor. The pricing structure is notably competitive, especially considering the high quality of the offerings. The staff consistently demonstrates a welcoming demeanor & provides detailed explanations of the menu items; in particular, Ksikes offered exceptional patience & assistance during my ordering process. My recent order, which included a Western Omelet on an everything bagel & a large cappuccino, totaled $13.00. While the price point is reasonable, the bagel portion size & the strength of the cappuccino could potentially be enhanced. The establishment maintains an immaculate environment, even during periods of high customer volume. This establishment is highly recommended for individuals who appreciate quality bagels.Voir plus

This Bagel shop is my first time. Came here to buy a 12 Bagels.
Pros:
A) It's in downtown. That's the best part.
B) It's open 24 Hours.
C) You can eat inside & they have plenty of seats available.
D) The spot & place looks clean.
Cons:
A) The bagel is okay the taste is good but I like more taste when it comes to the bagel nothing serious though.
B) Service can be slow as there is only 2 cash register.
C) They need to have more details about the shop outside like opening hours & the rating by the health inspectors etc.
Conclusion:
It's okay bagel shop hope to try their specialties but for now I think I will stay away from this shop.
I hope they improve in terms of taste, quality good people & customers relations.Voir plus

I had the Chocolate Bagel, it tasted delicious, the filling was very satisfying, it was heated before serving , the price of $1.85 is very economical for students & professionals alike. The one downside the portion size was somewhat smaller then expected. Location near downtown Concordia is also a plus for students & professionals.Voir plus

I cannot understand fast food outlets that claim to be 24 hours, but you cannot use bathroom as a customer & have to take food to go.. Fortunately this is not the case here.. but maybe just before midnight.
Had the turkey gumbo soup & it is good. I was going to order some more food but was told i had to leave after eating food so they did not get the 2nd purchase. They should have been clearer but maybe you cannot use dining area after midnight?Voir plus
