Ayant pris de l’expansion au Canada et aux États-Unis depuis ses débuts, il compte maintenant plus de 100 adresses. Bien que son nom et son décor aient changé au fil des décennies, l’expérience gastronomique est restée la même à ce jour. The staff were outstanding - very polite, friendly, & professional. Service was good, & the atmosphere was beautiful.
However, the food was a big disappointment. The appetizer was extremely salty & tasteless. It was honestly the worst calamari I've ever had. The main dish (steak) was very average & not particularly enjoyable.
Because of the food quality, I wouldn't choose this place again.

For the price & quality, its hard to beat the keg. A good steak at a good price. Everyone at the table was satisfied.

Our experience at The KEG started off very good, as we (on request) got assigned a cozy table, had a lovely waitress who also helped us with food allergies & even the manager coming to our table to inform us of the allergi accommodate allergies. Unfortunately, several service faux-pas then ruined our anniversary night bit by bit. First, our waitress forgot that we had ordered starters, so the main & the wine we ordered with it, came much earlier as expected & didn't allow us really to finish our first drink in peace. The food, tough being tasty, got cold within a few minutes, so we had to eat half of our (expensive) dish cold, with no waiter in sight to ask for a possible reheat. The same issue occured as we wanted to order the bill, it took 15mins until I got up to find somebody to order it. Even if we wanted, we couldnt have ordered another drink without waiting for another 20-30mins it seemd. What started of as a lovely night unfortunately turned into a disappointing evening & in the end being way too expensive for what it was.

The staff over The Keg Steakhouse made our trip to Montreal. Over the new year my Girlfriend & I went for Dinner & we found ourselves back for drinks & food three nights in a row.
A very warm & special shoutout to Greg who made our experience in Montreal an unforgettable one. We wish we could go back sooner! We didn't forget about Dominic!

Food & wine was fantastic. Service was a solid 4 our server was pretty underwhelming but another server stepped up & took care of a few of our needs. So service was both good & just OK. Baseball Serloin & Ribeye were great!

Excellent service, great food, very friendly & helpful staff. One person in our party safers from a serious allergy but they managed to get her a full 3 courses meal with no hesitation.

Visiting from out of town & had a $100 gift card so came here to use it, & we were not disappointed! We both ordered the keg classic which is one of the steaks or prime rib with starter salad & choice of side. The ice berg wedge with blue cheese is amazing, & the only side to get is the twice baked potato. Absolutely amazing but fair warning it was huge & hard to finish. We had a bottle of Bordeaux with dinner also & our server made sure we never had half-empty glasses. Was very impressed with all staff here & nice ambience of this location! Well done.

Front of the house & service was great & the food was good but they severely overcooked two of our steaks & took a while to replace. Most of our party was done eating. The waiter & manager apologized but still not a great experience for the price you pay. Also please specify the escargots is a curry based sauce.

Excellent service (English & French) & great food. Parking is tricky but that is to be expected with Old Montreal, which has a nice atmosphere.

Endroit très sympa dans le vieux quartier de Montréal. Prix élevé mais la viande est top. Courant d'air important nous avons eu très froid.

Been to many Kegs before but this one tops it! Usually you get a very corporate environment but the one in Montreal Vieux port had a very cozy feel to it & a different interior design. The staff was very friendly & welcoming & the food was excellent! I am not a steak guy but had to pull the trigger once i saw the'Chicago style' which basically add a mildly burnt crust with a perfectly cooked medium rare interior - it was the perfect Christmas dinner! Highly recommend this location 10/10

C'était bon, mais les portions étaient petites. Nous avions commandé un plateau de trois steaks « keg steak platter» avec des légumes ; la portion de légumes était minimale & la viande est arrivée froide. Le menu enfant, en revanche, était très bien.

This is an amazing steakhouse with a wonderful atmosphere & truly outstanding, service-oriented staff. Our server, Will, was incredibly friendly & attentive, & he made our wedding anniversary even more special! The filet mignon & mushroom risotto are a must.

Filet mignon was amazing for many years, BUT unfortunately my last 4 visit was a desaster, the meat was never cook the way I ask. Steak was return & come back worst. I didn't even eat it & left. This is how bad it was.
Not sure what changes, grill cook must have had a bad training.
Sadly I won't go back.
It use to be my favorite restaurant

I'm a huge Keg fan- I've been to one in 4 different cities & always look forward
To it when visiting Canada. On my latest visit Nov 29 in Montreal however both our filets showed up.. room temperature at best. No steam, no warmth, luke warm mashed potatoes. Ournserver Sam also was late with a tea because he forgot & I had to ask twice for my wine. Really feels like our steaks sat around for 10 mins before being served because (potentially) our party of 2 just wasn't of high priority on a Saturday. Room temperature $70 filet mignon is disappointing. I'll come back again to other Kegs but they shouldn't allow this
