This new restaurant opened in July. The restaurant was very pretty. The food was really quite good. The seabass tartare was delicious as was the beef tartare. The grilled calamari was good. For mains we had the lamb chops which were excellent as was the truffle penne pasta. Service was excellent. The only issue why we would not return to this place was due to the level of music which was so not conducive for a restaurant. It was almost impossible to have a conversation. Really too bad. Management will have to decide if they want to be a nightclub or restaurant.
It was my first visit & definitely not the last, its a very nice experience. My host Abdel was amazing, very professional & kind. Definitely amazing host. Abee

The restaurant was absolutely amazing - everything was perfect, from the food to the atmosphere. We had originally reserved a table for two, but when a friend joined us last minute on a busy Saturday night, the hostess was incredibly kind, patient, & helpful. She quickly rearranged things to make sure we had a comfortable table, all with a warm smile & such a friendly attitude. Honestly, she made our evening even better. Thank you so much for the outstanding service - it really left an impression!
had such a great time at Kava Restaurant! The food & vibe were amazing, but the highlight was definitely the service. Our hostess was so kind, welcoming, & attentive. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for us. Her warm smile & friendly attitude made the whole experience unforgettable. I'll absolutely be coming back!

La nourriture est absolument délicieuse & les cocktails le sont tout autant - mention spéciale au Litchi Glover Club, un vrai 10/10. L'ambiance est entraînante & conviviale, ce qui rend l'endroit parfait pour une double date ou une soirée entre amis. Une adresse à garder dans sa liste pour passer un super moment à Montréal !
Came by for a quick bite but the visit was strange to say the least.
When asked if we wanted flat or sparkling, I said tap. The waitress came back with a bottle & when I pointed out the error, only then did she tell us the restaurant doesn't serve tap water to customers. I've never been to a restaurant in Montreal that refuses something so basic-if you want water here, you'll have to pay for it.
To make matters stranger, the hostess spent the evening at the bar feeding her boyfriend his dinner. In between bites she would periodically go check on the front door.
Went to Kava for a Friday night dinner & the ambiance it's nice decor , food was ok nothing so special but service was not good wait long time for main course plus music bit loud & I did not like the crowd.
Food was alright, just overpriced for what it was. The shrimp & zucchini arancini had barely any shrimp & was essentially tasteless without the sauce. Just a little salt would have helped bring the zucchini flavour out. Also for 22 dollars, I shouldn't have to dissect it to find the tiny bit of shrimp.
My lamb chops were alright with the labneh, charred a little too much but that's not the worst. Didn't include any sides.
Vacherin dessert was refreshing, great mix of strawberries & basil. Was expecting more meringue though.
Kava soul cocktail was fantastic.
Decor was stylish.
Service was friendly & accommodating, appreciated the wine suggestion, just disappointed that chosing flat water would lead to a 7.50 charge for bottled water, I've only seen that in Europe & not a practice that should be imported.

I came here on Friday night & the food was mediocre & service was extremely slow. The bones were left in the sea bass, which I just feel like is not great practice for being a higher scale restaurant. There is casa azul lined up on the bar, but it was out when ordering it. This restaurant has great potential but it just misses the mark on a lot of things.
Amazing experience yesterday night at Kava! The food was outstanding & the music really good, perfect for a night out when you want a good atmosphere & dance! The only downside would be the quality of the service, really hard to have someone come & see us, but when they do however they are really nice. Food came out fast, so no problem there!
Let's start with the aesthetics-absolutely stunning. The lighting sets the perfect mood, it's cozy yet chic, gorgeous in every detail. It gives New York, it gives Manhattan, it gives money. Truly a vibe.
Now, the drinks-wow. Specially curated, high-end, & balanced to perfection. Each one has the perfect amount of alcohol & flavor, making them dangerously easy to love.
& the food… refreshing, fresh, & full of flavor. Every dish is beautifully composed & just as tasty as it looks.
Overall, this place is a dream. Chic atmosphere, impeccable drinks, delicious food-what more could you want?

Je n'ai rien à redire sur la qualité de la nourriture, mais malheureusement c'est uniquement de la que vienne mes deux étoiles…
Le service était plus que moyen, les serveuses se perdent dans leur table (la nôtre voulait en l'occurrence nous amener la carte des desserts avant même que nous ayons eu les plats) mais soit, les erreurs sont humaines.
En revanche, les cocktails à moitié renverser sur les table ainsi que l'oublie de la bougie, car nous sommes venus dans le cadre de l'anniversaire de ma mère, à laisser à désirer…
Ceci étant dit, nous avons également du attendre un long moment avant de pouvoir commander nos plats, & les autres serveurs sont à plusieurs reprises venus nous prendre les assiettes avant que nous les ayons finit.
L'atmosphère n'est pas trop mauvaise, mais l'intérieur a une musique bien trop forte & l'extérieur est pollué au niveau du son à cause de la sortie de climatisation du bâtiment.
Globalement j'aurais tendance à dire que c'est le genre de resto qui correspond très bien à un monde artificiel d'influenceurs (puisque je ne mentionne pas l'ambiance presque dérangeante entre clients & serveurs…) mais je déconseille pour un repas de famille, c'est dommage

Place was amazing, perfect location, beautiful area, awesome people. Everyone was very friendly. Loved the ambiance & location, very good music. Food presentation is good, however must say didnt really taste the best, tried few. Not the best place if you want to enjoy the best food in town, but excellent place to visit for ambiance. Getting orders took a bit long I find, however all personnel is very friendly & does excellent job overall in my opinion. Definitely a recommend!
