Service was good, she was sweet & gave solid pointers on what to get.
The beef pad sew was delicious! The spicy chicken was tasty but needs to be accompanied next to something else. The Lok Lak filet melts in your mouth, with the sweet sauce which gave the Asian twist to it was perfectly cooked.
After having a fantastic experience ordering the Singapore noodles & mussels as well as ever otherwise. I ordered the lamb chops for a second time & maybe my 8th order overall.
& for 33$ pre tax I got 3 tiny pieces of meat about 3cm by 1cm. Fine maybe it's a miracle per bite. It was singed, burnt & lacked both lamb & marination flavour. I'm utterly confused why this is 33$ when every comparable dish in both Asian & Greek restaraunts are about the same price for multiple lamb chops -each- having more meat than Kaokao's entire dish combined.
Every time I've ordered the quality & quantity has decreased steadily. Drinks not packaged properly, dishes missing half the food, meals made with missing ingredients, receiving entirely different items than what was ordered.
I had a draft written up from my first order with nothing but praise. But this is also why I sit on reviews for at least a few orders.
Bonus: I'm attaching a picture I found of their listing & despite the cut off edge this is literally the size of the chops in reference to the sauce container & yes you will only get 3.
& below that is a picture of evidently what they provide when they're held accountable in person.
WOW , went there for food & drinks, amazing time , really , the owner/owners are nice, Mina is the MAN. Asian fusion restaurant , incredible had their Poulet GANGANG & Beef LOKLAK, fireee both with egg fried rice. I wanted more but my friends were too full! Generous portions & awesome prices. I'm going there again soon for sure!
The food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of tapas to share & it was perfect. I even ordered some more stuff as takeout !!! The veggies were THE BEST.
The price was ok for the food, but the drinks are a bit expensive.
There are lots of tables inside, but they are a bit high. Our friend was not comfortable on the higher chairs. Only 2 tables at regular height & they were taken already.
The decoration is really nice. We went for dinner around 5 or 6 during the week, so the music wasn't too loud. The tables outside were not available sadly.
I recommend if you want to enjoy good asian food. :)
Food's good, vibe's nice! A must if you like asian food & crazy drinks
A Culinary Hidden Gem in Laval - A Food Critic's Delight
This is not your typical Laval restaurant-it's a vibrant, immersive experience that blends eclectic ambiance with shockingly refined cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you're met with an explosion of color: an illuminated interior, a full bar, large DJ booth crowned by a towering alien statue, oversized screen, playful lights, & an inviting outdoor terrace. It's a visual feast that sets the tone for what's to come.
Inspired by the energetic spirit of Vietnamese beer gardens, this spot thrives as an after-work hangout. The drink menu alone is worth the visit-some of the most creative & balanced cocktails I've had in the area.
But what truly surprised me was the caliber of the food. This isn't bar food-it's gourmet Asian fusion served with flair. The chef works magic on a giant wok, crafting dishes that pull inspiration from across the continent: Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Vietnam, & beyond.
We sampled a wide range of offerings, each plate somehow outshining the last. The filet mignon was a standout-expertly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, & rich with flavor. The takoyaki was a rare & welcome surprise, executed perfectly. All dishes are designed to be shared, encouraging group tastings & an almost tapas-style experience.
Even better? The prices are shockingly affordable for the quality. There's a weekday lunch menu as well, which I'll absolutely be returning to try.
Come hungry & curious-this place is built for culinary exploration. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food in a setting that's anything but ordinary. Prepare yourself for a true degustation.
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Price: $$ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Atmosphere/vibes: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (need new chairs to be. More comfy)
Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (needs more parking space)
Another recommendation is to fix the hours. It says weekeds on reservation, never sure if the place is open, which adds to the excitement when you get to the door if they are open or not).
Best asian food in Laval hands down taste & quality are A1. I discovered than a month ago & I been going there every week
Came mid day with a cranky baby & feeling rough, service was more than accommodating, super nice & caring. Music seems to have been changed to accommodate as well, which was super sweet as our baby enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was great as well. I don't enjoy Asian style food & wife doesn't like trying new places & we both liked it. Plate was nice with good choices for the price. Made with care. Genuinely nice place, worth it. Thank you.
Great Asian spot with great beer prices & portions are generous for the price
