I've been to this sushi place more than 20 times. Every time I try a different sushi spot, it never compares to Kaedo Sushi.
So, I think it's finally time to write a review for this hidden gem!
First, try to book at least two days in advance if you want a table. They're very organized, & I've never had to wait even a minute at the door when I arrived with a reservation.
Now, the best part, the food!
Their menu is full of a variety of delicious options. I'm not a fan of ordering grilled beef, chicken, or similar dishes at a Japanese restaurant, so I always go for their sushi & sashimi. It's always fresh & incredibly tasty. The quality is consistent, & they never disappoint me.
The service is just as good. The waitstaff are attentive, they walk around frequently & clear your table as soon as you're done eating, so it never gets cluttered with empty plates.
All in all, I definitely recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in Montreal!View more
I came here looking a little bite to eat & definitely left feeling satisfied. The food was very high quality & the wait time was minimal. There were some things I did not like which was the wonton soup which I felt was below average. The broth tasted good but the dumplings were just okay. The wait staff was very attentive but a little cold at times perhaps because they did not speak english well. The prices on their sushi rolls were a little high for Montreal, however, the quality was good as well so it was fine. I highly recommend trying their dessert sushi. Overall, a pleasant experience.View more
Bring my own bottle of yuzu soy sauce & pair it with the fresh sashimi at "kaedo" sushi restaurant to make my meal feel like I am at a fine dining restaurant ( Nov 2024) Compare with other "all you can eat " Japanese restaurants, the fish is more quality here! But wasabi has no taste!( Aug 2024)View more
Great place. We didnt have a resveration & they were busy but they still managed to get us a table & serve us. Sushi was of excelllent quality with wait time being very good relative to how busy the place was. I ordered alot of different things & I enjoyed everything. Well worth the price.View more
Hands down the best all you can eat sushj place in montreal, food is super fresh & good quality. Good white chicken meat in the general tao, service is very fast too. Me & my girlfriend will come back for sure!View more
I booked a table at 5 pm because the restaurant only takes reservations at 5 & 7 pm, the place was full & lively. The ingredients were fresh & tasty! It wasn't my first visit so I'm happy to see that the quality is consistent. Everything was delicious & we couldn't get enough of the salmon sashimi & the sushi there. The staff was nice & my friends & I had a great time, definitely recommend for group dinners & dates! :) I'll take photos next time I go!View more
Super experience. I love how you can eat small portions of everything! The service is very quick & they are very kind with the customers. The food is amazing. Great quality. I recommand the tempura cheese & you must finish with mango ice cream.View more
Will always go there with no questions asked! But a request to improve the ice cream quality please. It doesn't feel rich at all!View more
The food & atmosphere were really enjoyable. However, the service overall was just okay. The main manager, in particular, was quite cold & came across as mean, which put a damper on the experience. Otherwise, everything else was pleasant enough. I still give it 4 stars for quality food.View more
PROS: Excellent food for most of our orders! Nice presentation & atmostphere. A lot of choice & variety for all tastes! Fresh & good quality of food. Excellent service on first round of order. CONS: But the service get much slower for your next rounds of orders. Dragon eyes was OK. Fried banana was tasteless. Marshmallows on ice cream don't taste good & should be removed. I highly recommend this place despite the cons!View more
Saw this on Instagram & thought it might be a good place to try. Very over hyped for what it is. Food is ok & quality is meh. Pitchers are watered down. Friendly staff though!View more
Food came really quickly & was very fresh & tasty. Restaurant was very busy but this did not affect the quality of the food or service. I personally enjoyed the amount of choices on the menu! Would recommend as a good AYCE restaurant!View more
I simply love sushi!!! & this is one of my favorite places in the city. The atmosphere is nice, the sushi is delicious, & the service is super attentive. If you like "all you can eat" you will like this place. The quality, flavor, & presentation of the dishes are impeccable.View more
I made a reservation for 17h. We arrived there at 17:01, were seated at 17:02 , we took our time to order & YET, by 17:10 we were already eating 😭 they don't play in there. Staff is friendly & helpful when we had questions. They were so quick to serve the food & take away the plates when we were done. We ordered like 3 times & the food came in like 3 seconds. & the food? BROOO amazing. Everything I ate was good, good quality, pretty presentation, 5 stars out of 5 , 10 out of 10 & it's a buffet? So like unlimited sushi until you can't no more? Sign me up✅ would definitely recommend, will 100% come back . Thank you very much for everythingView more
Service was phenomenal. Sushi's were the highest quality out of all the previous "a volonté" restos i've been to.View more
Great food & fast delivery for each plate. Awesome presentation!!!! Friendly staff , definitely unexpected quality ! Recommend coming here, the price can't be beat. The torched salmon sushi was so delicious. There's a great selection of many speciality items & rolls. Very interesting blend of tastes & innovative foods. Because it's all you can eat, you're able to try a variety of them. Overall a fun experience. Greatly recommend for all types of palates!View more
Top tier food quality considering it being all-you-can-eat. Seafood was fresh, side dishes were perfect, good variety of the soups as well. Masago was better quality than any other sushi buffets, amount of wasabi was just enough on sushi. Fresh green avocados, Sashimi was fresh as well as the salad. Seasoning was just enough; not too salty or sweet. The Tako wasabi(octopus w/wasabi) was beyond expectation. Waiters were fast to remove emptied dishes & change the water bottles when emptied as soon as possible. 8/10 tidiness 9.5/10 taste 10/10 variety of selection offered (weekend dinner) 10/10 price (almost same as any other places, but superior quality) 9/10 service 9.5/10 plating 8/10 ambience (quiet enough for the dinner) 7/10 table settings (bit close to each other) 3/10 accessibility for wheelchairs. Reservations are highly recommended, lines can be long. Also try the fried pineapple dessert. Pretty good creation in my opinion.View more
Amazing food & incredible service. Surpasses the quality expectations for an all you can eat & actually gets to top notch quality for any sushi restaurant. Incredibly satisfied!View more
Good quality for a all-u-can-eat & great sashimi presentationView more
Best all-you-can-eat sushi I've been to in Montreal, they have good service, presentation, & quality of food, it can't get better than that. Don't hesitate to make your reservation, it gets quite busy as the evening gets later, understandably so.View more
Before the name rebranding it was my favorite AYCE spot, now it seems that they're lacking a bit at times. Came on a Thursday & waited at the entrance for 20+ minutes before anyone came to check just to be told that they're only letting reservations in. Totally understandable but there were plenty of occasions to approach us not to waste our time waiting at the door & there were a lot of people in the same situation. Will give it another shot but quality definitely went down.View more
This sushi spot impresses with its efficient service & a diverse menu. Despite being consistently busy, the quality of the sushi & sashimi stands out. A reliable choice for sushi enthusiasts.View more
Very welcoming & sweet workers. Food was so delicious & came in cool plates. Very good quality restaurant & it was worth ever single penny. Highly recommend to everyone.View more
Decent all you can eat option. More than just sushi. Quality was adequate considering the format. Service was fast, attentive, & efficient. Good value for money. Reservations on peak days/hours are a must, so plan ahead.View more
Not bad but not the best all you can eat sushi i tried. All the sushis kind of taste de same & the quality is ok. For the cooked dish, it feels like i'm eating, for example, cooked shrimp WITH szechuan sauce instead of szechuan shrimps so it's not really tasty. Service was okay too. Overall an okay alternative if you are craving sushis but i won't go back since there is other better places.View more
Best AYCE sushi in Montreal & we have tried a lot of them. This is definitely going to be the new regular spot!! Service, food quality & cleanliness were all top notch.View more
This place has all you can eat sushi for an affordable price. The quality is what you'd expect as it's not amazing sushi but good. I also noticed that there were a lot of options as well so you can definitely find something you like. More than the sushi, it was the non-sushi items that stood out with some good chicken, skewers, short ribs & shrimp that tasted really good. The service was really friendly & quick & the place overall was clean.View more
Amazing all you can eat; had great quality dishes & also very creative. Price was moderate, not low but not high either. Sashimi was ok but everything else was amazing. Staff are prompt, polite & professional. Very popular & busy spot, every table was occupied & more customers waiting, this is on a Thursday night in November! The result is it felt a bit cramped & too cozy for comfort. Despite many other restaurants in the area, Kaedo was packed, Montrealers & visitors love it!View more
