What an amazing food experience. Jun I, though a bit on the pricey side, was an excellent experience. We ordered the Omakase & Sushi Moriawase which was just the perfect amount of food to share between two people. The service was well paced, with our dining experience lasting just over two hours. Jun I is the perfect place to go on a dinner date with a loved one or simply go with friends to have a great night with amazing food. Highly recommend.

We were truly disappointed with our experience at Juni. The ambiance was loud & the area was small . The overall décor left a lot to be desired. The drinks (we ordered wine , beer (on tap)& lemonade (for our 11 year old daughter))were not good. Both the wine & beer tasted like urine & the lemonade was warm water with a slice of lemon. We requested assistance on what to order & the waiter suggested the tasting menu (the most expensive dish) & we went for it. It was about 5 appetizers & 3 mains . The appetizers were high end cuisine , well done & tasty . The mains were actually good but the final sushi platter was a disappointment ,warm & really not tasty at all. We left many behind. The most upsetting part in the entire experience was the fact that it took the kitchen 2.5hrs to complete the service. We understand that this was a tasting menu but waiting 15-20mins between appetizers & servings was inacceptable. The management did compensate by not charging us for the drinks & discounting the total charge by 10% - therefore they did acknowledge & tried to compensate. The waiters were polite & professional. We never complain & we've never left a bad review but we feel that it must be mentioned that this is for a young crowd that enjoys a clublike scene. We will not recommend it.
The food was absolutely amazing & tasty & if I would live in Canada I will make sure I will eat there every month. The same with service. Just the restaurant was a bit noisy for me. But I would recommend it for sure.

The sushi was incredible but I cannot recommend this place due to the poor service.
When we showed up to the restaurant, we had a reservation at the bar but it was full - so we asked if we could grab a table (there were a few open). The waiter said no, the restaurant is fully booked so those are unavailable but in reality those tables stayed empty for the remainder of the evening.
We ordered two omakase dinners & thought that it was strange that half of the dishes were served in a family style shared plate - at the price point & for omakase we expected individual plating (this might just be the style of the restaurant).
The service throughout the night was poor - no one checked on us in terms of if we wanted more drinks or water. We had to flag down a waiter to get more water.
Again, if the price was lower my expectations would be different but at $95 per person plus drinks, tax & tip - we would have expected better service.
Délicieuse expérience culinaire! Le service est impeccable! Je le recommande sans hésiter! Mais l'excellence exige une réservation pour ne pas être déçu! J'y retourne c'est certain!
Each dish was fresh & flavourful. The portions were also very generous. Easily the best sushi restaurant in Montreal & would highly recommend to any foodie.

The food is exceptional, as per usual. Extremely fresh ingredients & knowledgeable, friendly staff. Their attention to detail is just perfect. Highly recommend the Omakase tasting menu.
Jun I had a nice ambiance & the cocktails were very well made! The staff was courteous & understood the menu well enough to make good recommendations while being considerate of the prices.
The appetizers were okay, but the real stars of the show were the maki rolls. The fish was high quality & you can tell they took good care in preparing each piece.
The pace that each course was brought was great & it allowed us enough time enjoy each course without having to rush through it!
Overall, a nice experience & would recommend for a date or for some good quality Japanese cuisine.
