Reviews of Joyo Burger describe a strong core of tasty, well-made burgers and a clean, welcoming vibe, with many praising the blue cheese burger, the brie and mushroom version, the Nashville chicken burger, and other smash burgers as standout favorites. The poutine and fries often receive praise when prepared well, though some reports note fries can be overcooked or soggy and occasionally service times are lengthy, especially at busy hours or for takeout. Several reviewers appreciate gluten-free options and halal choices, and the overall quality and freshness of the meat are repeatedly highlighted. Occasional criticisms include changes to the menu such as bacon removal and lettuce swaps, which some feel have affected flavor and value, as well as a few burnt or dry chicken pieces in certain orders. Service is frequently described as friendly and efficient, with compliments about the ambiance and cleanliness, though a few experiences mention slower service or missteps at checkout. The consensus leans positive with many saying the burgers are among the best in Montreal and recommending repeat visits, while others note price level and consistency can vary, but overall Joyo Burger remains a reliable, tasty option with a strong menu and a welcoming atmosphere.
I recently visited Joyo Burger on Rue Masson, one of the nicest streets in Montreal, & overall I had a great experience.
I ordered the Nashville chicken burger, & it was honestly amazing - perfectly spicy, juicy, & tender. Definitely the highlight of the meal & worth coming back for.
That said, there were a few downsides. The fries were a bit disappointing & felt low quality compared to the burger. The service also wasn't perfect - there were no napkins, salt, or ketchup available on the table, which made things a bit inconvenient.
Despite these small issues, the food itself (especially the burger) really stands out. I'm giving 4 stars, with one star deducted for the sides & service.
I would still come back again for that chicken burger 👍

The burgers were absolutely delicious, very tasty & made with fresh meat. The flavor was excellent. If you're a burger lover, you should definitely try the burgers at this restaurant.
However, there are a few points I'd like to mention. The fries were not good; they had an onion taste (maybe they were fried in the same oil as onions, or for some other reason). Also, the bottom of the container was full of small, broken pieces that were not really edible.
Our meals were served at different times. There was about a 10-minute gap between my husband's dish & mine, even though we ordered together on the same bill.
No sauce was served with the fries, & we had to ask for it. They brought us a small container of ketchup.
I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The interior design is beautiful, but I think the level of service should match the quality of the food & the interior design so everything feels consistent.
Not sure why we haven't tried Joyo before as we always walk by it, but we'll definitely be back! Great burger, nice & clean location, & very friendly staff!
The family went to Joyo Burger because of the Mtlblog review. The regular burger was good, not great. The chicken burger was GREAT according to my son. Buns were a little too soft for their job. The fries were okay but nothing special, pretty much the same as an IGA french fry. Service was good but the place looks a bit run down, though nice & airy & roomy.
I have delivered from this place at least 4 times, cheesseburger (with caramelized onions, extra mushrooms & sometimes tomato) & fries. Allways outstanding! My favorite, so far, after 5 years of delivery.
Their beef burgers were decent, I preferred the'Le Grand'.
Out of the chicken burgers, I liked the Nashville one the most. However, I felt like there wasn't enough chicken, & I could tell it had been beaten flat.
The fries by themselves were not that great, but they were better when in the poutine.
Overall the food was decent but not worth the price.
The seating area & washrooms were clean. The staff were very nice.

Tried the chicken sandwich & fries - both were just okay. Nothing particularly bad, but nothing memorable either. The sandwich lacked flavor & felt a bit bland, & the fries were average at best. Not a place I'd go out of my way for, but it's fine if you're just looking for something quick & simple.
It was one of my best experiences the girl received us with a very friendly smile the kitchen boy Rogers went out to see if everything was in order very friendly i would return very delicious hamburger & Guacamole the fantastic & incredible attention a very cozy & quiet place Atte. EMIR G
So…the burgers are good. That's good. The service too & it's clean nothing to say at this level. Even the idea of sauces for the fries was great so I was pumped to try. But the fries arrived cold with way too much sauce. & then the milkshake was just tasteless. Can do better the potential is here.
