Do not come here if you don't speak French. They treat you very poorly, very cold, speak rudely & when coming down the stairs from the dessert room, I was shoved to the side by the waitress. We did the 10 course menu. Food was not amazing for such an expensive restaurant. The small lobster cappuccino was the highlight of the night, the venison tasted AWFUL & they focused more on theatrics (lots of smoke & dry ice) versus the quality & taste of food. Atmosphere was clean but the staff again treated you very poorly once they know you speak only English. Would not come again.
Je dirais tu paye pour l'expérience parce que j'ai été très déçu de la sélection du menu 8 service & la qualité laissé a désirer. La queue de homard était caoutchoucteux, le boeuf d'Alberta était plein de nerf pi le pire de tout sa ta encore faim quand tu sors du restaurant. La seule chose que j'ai dégusté était le vin pi le cafe espagnol. On était 3 personnes pi 2 ont été malade le lendemain donc je recommande pas se restaurant a personne & c'étais ma dernière visite personnellement.

Where to even start reviewing this restaurant? We dined at the original restaurant in 2013 & had the best meal I had ever had until this one. We had the 8 course tasting menu & it's hard to say which is more exceptional - the service & presentation or the food. The whole experience is just over the top wonderful & the food was superb & perfect in every way. From lobster cappuccino to crab cakes to Montreal ice & then the special visit to the "store" - it was just beyond words. Just go!
first of all the service was without flaw. but that wasn't the case for the food. the first service was really good & the bread was delicious however the second was left to be desired & the beef was mid at best. but what saved it all was dessert which was devine.
4.5 / 10 pour une expérience gastronomique dans le restaurant de Jérôme Ferrer?!? Eh oui, c'est ça la note que je donne, car malheureusement, ce n'était pas à la hauteur de mes attentes. Pour commencer par le point positif, on a été super bien accueilli mais ensuite le service a commencé à se dégrader. Les serveurs renversent de l'eau sur nous, ramasse pas bien les miettes sur la table en plus de nous parler avec un ton condescendant. La cuisson de ma bavette de boeuf était ratée, c'était beaucoup trop saignant. Les croûtons etait défraîchi comme s'ils avaient été préparés longtemps d'avance. Bref je pourrais encore en dire longuement, mais je vais m'abstenir.
Très déçu c'était fade sans goût!! Les serveurs était tellement pressé que nous ressentions leurs stress très désagréable..leurs cocktail goûtaient l'eau!! & malheureusement j'ai trouvé un cheveux dans mon assiette! Chose qui peu arriver mais très déçu de voir que dans un établissement de la sorte on m'a même pas offert une petite boite de mignardises pour s'excuser de l'incident...Ça aurait été la moindre des choses...
Grosse déception chez Europea! Accueil très froid par le maître d'hôtel en service, très pompeux & sourire absent. La cuisine est très grasse & salée, rien de bon pour la santé. Tout est préparé avec de la crème 35%, du Cappuccino de homard jusqu'au dessert. L'entrée de crabe avec supplément de $15 ne vaut absolument pas le coût. Le goût correct mais sans plus & portion minuscule. La morue d'Islande préparée avec le lait de coco était sans goût & celle préparée avec la sauce au beurre, levait littéralement le coeur(ne goûtait que le beurre). Nous savons tous que les restaurants français sont axés sur la cuisine très riche & salée depuis toujours, mais Europea bat vraiment tous les records. Leur chef aurait avantage à se réinventer & vivre la réalité qui se concentre maintenant sur une cuisine plus saine, plus santé & avec plus de légumes. Il aurait intérêt à suivre l'exemple des restaurants méditerranéens par exemple(Portuguais, Italiens, etc...) qui n'ont pas besoin de saler & beurrer à l'excès pour que ce soit goûteux. Décor, ambiance froide envahie par une musique de style "lounge" stressante qu'ils ont refusée de changer. On se sentait littéralement comme dans un bar d'hôtel. Lorsque nous sommes ressortis, une hôtesse se tenait devant la porte. À notre passage, elle a baissé la tête sans dire un mot... Vraiment, il y a plusieurs excellents restaurants à Montréal & autour, où la cuisine, service & ambiance sont de meilleure qualité & à moindre coût!
