The Indian food here is mediocre, overly sweet & lacked flavours. However, the street food like paani puri is surprisingly good & worth trying if you're in the area.
Thanks to Nikunj bhai & team 5 star for the food, vibe & fun. Jay Bhavani is a gem if you're missing the real taste of Indian street food.
The flavours instantly take you back home. Their Schezwan fried rice & noodles are packed with bold, spicy flavour, perfect for anyone who loves that Indo-Chinese kick.
Misal Pav was spot on too (Mumbaikar here) , flavourful, spicy, & comforting. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, & service was quick & friendly. The vibe is casual, but perfect for a quick, satisfying meal. Definitely coming back to try more from their menu whenever I'm back in Montreal. Love from PEI
This place seems to primarily serve the neighbourhood Hindu population as the menu is tailored to their dietary restrictions, to provide them with a touch of home as well as a culinary exploration experience for those unfamiliar with Vada Pav & their other offerings. Although I'm well-acquainted with Indian food & have been eating it since I was young, this was a new experience for me. I went for the cheese Vada Pav & appreciated that they were not shy with the cheese. But the snack just didn't resonate with me, just was not fond of the texture or flavour of the vege-patty. The atmosphere has a very authentic Indian feeling to it & the service was fine, unfortunately the food just was not for my palate.
worst vada pav in my life.
the homemade vada pav is better option.
Shame on jay bhawani franchise owner who is running business.
we order sev puri . puri was 4 piece & thinner slice of potato
thik sev
no taste no flavour no colors in sev puri plate.
i would not take name of staff because i am sure they were students . but i am sure they have taught that way to prepare food.
all the decoration available in Gujarat they put in restaurant no match no layers no arrangements.
i would suggest not to go there & better go to local food joints.
It's was really really amazing & it was flavourful & tasty & staff was really nice & friendly & they suggested us few item & it was really amazing.
Absolutely amazing experience! The food at Jay Bhavani was fresh, flavourful, & just hit the spot. The service was equally impressive - staff were friendly, quick, & made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian street food with top-notch service!
This place for fusion Indian food is vegetarian but very flavourful. Staff was also kind to explain & recommend their dishes.
Excellent speed, delicious food items. Dabeli wins over their Vada Pav for sure. Pani for pani puri was too sour & could tell it has been frozen for longer period. Although, their Dahi Puri had all the flavours on point.
Parita ji what a tea masala tea (Indian style)!! Amazing flavour full mouthwatering 😋& shout out to Nikunj Patel for amazing service & politeness good people did good job!! Amazing experience.
The location is great - it's a few minutes walk from two different metro stations (orange & green line) so it is really easy to get to. Since it is located downtown parking can be tough so coming by metro is perfect. There is lots of indoor seating & also a few seats outside. Orders take a bit of time to be served but everything comes out hot & fresh so it's worth waiting. Their special masala chai is the BEST & I always order a cup whenever I'm nearby. It's sweet but you can feel that they really let the spices brew for a long time & therefore it tastes super good. They have lots of "street food" snacks & you can ask them for recommendations if you are not sure what to order - I did that & the staff was super nice & thanks to them I got to try some new dishes & flavours that I was not familiar with before then. I would love if they could include some special menu such as "special Indian breakfast/brunch" during the weekend. I feel like I have so many options for brunch downtown on weekends but not indian ones, where I can order like a plate with a mix of several items with friends or even a big breakfast with a kettle of tea for the table which feels like eating back home at a reasonable price.
