Depuis plus de 30 ans, Le Jardin Nelson est l'endroit à ne pas manquer lors d'un passage dans le Vieux-Montréal. Ce restaurant a été nommé ainsi en l'honneur du Dr Wolfred Nelson, patriote de la rébellion de 1837, et neuvième maire de Montréal. L'immense terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 500 personnes se situe en plein cœur d'une vaste cour de style jardin méditerranéen. La multitude de fleurs et d'arbustes florissants, méticuleusement entretenus, ajoute une touche de vivacité et de dynamisme à l'endroit.

Jardin Nelson is an absolute gem, especially if you're a jazz lover! The atmosphere is unbeatable, with live jazz performances that truly set the mood for a memorable evening. The courtyard is beautifully designed, creating a warm & inviting ambiance that's perfect for relaxing with friends or a date. The food is just as fantastic as the music. I highly recommend the *pudding chômeur* - it's hands down one of the best I've had, rich & comforting. Pairing that dessert with the live jazz made for an unforgettable experience. Whether you're there for the music, the food, or both, Jardin Nelson delivers on all fronts. Can't wait to go back! They do look in a hurry to have you order.. But it was lovely!!Voir plus

Déception au Jardin Nelson. L'ambiance est magique & le service chaleureux, mais la qualité de la nourriture & des boissons est franchement médiocre. Mon omble chevalier avec gratin dauphinois était fade & la crêpe de canard confit de mon mari goûtait un sirop d'orange chimique, presque écoeurant. Les cocktails ne valent pas non plus le détour. Pour le prix, l'attente interminable & le stationnement payant, on s'attendait à une cuisine avec un minimum de saveur. Passez pour l'ambiance, mais ne vous attendez pas à une bonne expérience culinaire.Voir plus

Disappointing, expected much better. Server fell far below even average. It felt like we were imposing upon her. Didn't care for that. The chowder was quite good & very tasty. We ordered what she called an American ice tea but it really tasted like a sweet & sour mixer - unlike any ice tea we've ever encountered. A really lovely restaurant with great atmosphere & service. Our only reason for not giving 5 stars would be that I didn't enjoy my main course. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his though & it wouldn't discourage us from returning again as there was many other items on the menu I'm sure I would enjoy.Voir plus
