Depuis plus de 30 ans, Le Jardin Nelson est l'endroit à ne pas manquer lors d'un passage dans le Vieux-Montréal. Ce restaurant a été nommé ainsi en l'honneur du Dr Wolfred Nelson, patriote de la rébellion de 1837, et neuvième maire de Montréal. L'immense terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 500 personnes se situe en plein cœur d'une vaste cour de style jardin méditerranéen. La multitude de fleurs et d'arbustes florissants, méticuleusement entretenus, ajoute une touche de vivacité et de dynamisme à l'endroit.

Extremely bad food. I'd love to see the chef try the so-called Caesar salad that has nothing to do with an actual Caesar, or the overcooked meat-stuffed crepes that are as dry as ash. This restaurant is clearly aimed at tourists & designed for one-time visits, with unjustifiably high prices.Voir plus

We were on the hop on hop off bus & had our tour guide Richard, recommend this restaurant. We took the opportunity after a lovely walk & it was mid afternoon. We were given the choice of inside or the patio & chose outside to people watch.
I had the beef tartare & a local beer & my wife had the tuna poke bowl. Both were amazing.

Le Jardin Nelson est un véritable havre de paix au coeur du Vieux-Montréal. La terrasse est tout simplement magnifique : bien aménagée, ensoleillée, c'est l'endroit idéal pour passer un bon moment, surtout avec le retour du beau temps.
Malgré le fait que l'endroit soit très fréquenté, le service est impeccable. Le personnel est attentif & souriant, ce qui fait toute la différence, même lors des heures de grande affluence. C'est un endroit parfait pour se détendre, profiter d'un bon repas & d'un verre en terrasse.
J'ai hâte de pouvoir y retourner dès que le beau temps sera de retour pour savourer à nouveau cette belle expérience.Voir plus

Jardin Nelson is an absolute gem, especially if you're a jazz lover! The atmosphere is unbeatable, with live jazz performances that truly set the mood for a memorable evening. The courtyard is beautifully designed, creating a warm & inviting ambiance that's perfect for relaxing with friends or a date. The food is just as fantastic as the music. I highly recommend the *pudding chômeur* - it's hands down one of the best I've had, rich & comforting. Pairing that dessert with the live jazz made for an unforgettable experience.
