Jardin Nelson will always have a line of people waiting to get in during the summer months, but I can tell you the wait is worth it! This is a lovely restaurant set in a beautiful garden away from the craziness of Montreal's Old Town streets. It's literally a hidden oasis! Once you're given a menu, you'll find there is a plethora of options - they have a very impressive selection of crêpes (which I absolutely would recommend getting), excellent salads, very good pizzas, & that's really just scratching the surface! They have so many different items on the menu, it's crazy! Try a variety of different things, & don't be afraid to ask the waiters/waitresses what they would recommend. That's what we did, & it helped a lot! Service was very good, food came out in a reasonable manner, & despite it being in a very touristy part of Montreal, prices were not exorbitant. All in all, a very impressive restaurant we will always return to whenever we are visiting the city!View more

Beautiful terrace for lunch at the old port of Montreal in the summer. Always a line up, which can be annoying, but also a sign that the place is loved by many! Had the bruschetta & the ceviche. They were both good, but nothing out of this world. Still thoroughly enjoyed my lunch experience at Jardin Nelson.View more

Everyone told me I had to try this place. So I did. I had I stopped for lunch on what was one of hottest fall days I've encountered. 32c. On October 3rd. The patio was lovely. Highly over-rated Service was ridiculously slow. We waited forever to order & we were there for dinner early. I had to flag one of the hostesses down to get our waiter. The chairs are super uncomfortable & the tables too close together. I was disappointed with the menu choices. The shrimp tacos I ordered were not what I expected. On a positive note: the small sangria pitcher is perfect for 2 people & the cookie dessert was delicious.View more
