Good gluten-free options, gorgeous patio & vibe, great service. They're known for their crepes & offer a gluten-free batter. They also have a gluten-free menu to clearly show options, & our waiter was very knowledgeable & helpful about dietary restrictions. Most of the sauces are not gluten free but I enjoyed the main course crepe I chose without a sauce. Though the cheesecake dessert crepe we shared wasn't nearly as good. They don't take reservations & get very busy, so be prepared to arrive early or to wait for a table. We arrived 20 minutes before the restaurant opened & stood in the line that was already forming. We didn't know about the back patio beforehand but followed the crowd in front of us in choosing a table on the back patio, & it was by far the best seating. It's a*really* beautiful space & there was live music during our lunch. As we left about 12:30 pm, every table in the restaurant was full & there was a very long line of people waiting to be seated.
Excellent service. The waitress Karoline was a delight. Superb location with nice view from the front porch. The food was delicious, particularly crepes. We had very enjoyable experience.
Met family there as it was recommended by them for lunch. Felt like a taste of Paris (yes, I've been there) in a French city. Salmon Poke was fresh & flavourful. Two of us had the Crepes Nelson & lastly the pepperoni pizza. All delicious
Arrived around 5 on a weeknight & were seated in the garden with no wait. Food was solid. Crepes were heartier than what you might find in a traditional crepe joint. We were satisfied with our choices of smoked meat & seafood crepes. Our server's shift ended in the middle of the meal, so we were there a little longer than expected. Bonus--the delay extended our stay into the live jazz! So we ordered the maple creme brulee & some dessert coffee.
We loved this gem! Very cool outdoor seating area with live music at lunch. We enjoyed salmon lasagna & seafood crepes. Quick friendly service
Great spot with an awesome vibe in the back patio. My pork crepe was awesome. They also had Rabaska cidre which was very refreshing. The cherry on top was the fact that they had live music on a Sunday at 2pm. Truly lovely experience.
Siobhan made the experience exceptional. The crepes made me wish I had a second stomach. I had the Nelson. My wife had a crepe with mushrooms & Brie. dessert was equally as amazing. The atmosphere & the live jazz band made it so I did not want to leave. Don't overlook this place when you visit!
We had a great time here. Very busy place with tables everywhere & jazz playing. We came on a Tuesday afternoon & the place was packed. My wife had a crepe & I had a chicken ceasa
Excellent place, the atmosphere is very cozy, it has live music, jazz, they play & sing very well. The food is pretty good, it doesn't take that long even though the place was full. The environment is partially covered, sunlight enters & it has many plants. We tried salmon lasagna & orange duck crepe. Highly recommended
First of all: Beautiful place! We sat in the garden in front of the stage. The music was beautiful & it harmonized with the place. The server was the so attentive & so helpful. We loved having him! We all had a crepe, seafood crepe, smoked meat crepe & a vegetarian one. ALL were perfect! We had a lovely time & will definitely come back again! 💜
Beautiful little courtyard with live Jazz & a cool breeze. It was a very pleasant meal with the Porc Roti sandwich & some various Crepes.
This place is always unique in its setting. Fresh plants everywhere, love jazz while you eat. The duck crepe was too sweet to my liking.
We were thrilled to discover this incredible restaurant as a family of five in a recent trip to Montreal. The extensive menu offered something for everyone, making it difficult to choose! I enjoyed the delicious chard, my husband chose the pork crepe, & we shared a delightful pitcher of sangria. Our kids loved the ribs, pizza, & pasta. The staff was both kind & professional, & the ambiance was charming, set amidst picturesque buildings. With outdoor seating made cozy by heaters, our experience was very comfortable. We're very much looking forward to returning in the summer when the flowers are in full bloom!!
Jardin Nelson will always have a line of people waiting to get in during the summer months, but I can tell you the wait is worth it! This is a lovely restaurant set in a beautiful garden away from the craziness of Montreal's Old Town streets. It's literally a hidden oasis! Once you're given a menu, you'll find there is a plethora of options - they have a very impressive selection of crêpes (which I absolutely would recommend getting), excellent salads, very good pizzas, & that's really just scratching the surface! They have so many different items on the menu, it's crazy! Try a variety of different things, & don't be afraid to ask the waiters/waitresses what they would recommend. That's what we did, & it helped a lot! Service was very good, food came out in a reasonable manner, & despite it being in a very touristy part of Montreal, prices were not exorbitant. All in all, a very impressive restaurant we will always return to whenever we are visiting the city!
Everyone told me I had to try this place. So I did. I had I stopped for lunch on what was one of hottest fall days I've encountered. 32c. On October 3rd. The patio was lovely. Shaded & breezy I had the crepe Florentine. It was a nicely presented but pretty basic. I thought it was a bit overdone Great service. I've tried it. I would go back
The highlight of our trip to Montréal. Their beautiful setting makes this one of the most memorable restaurants I've ever been to. The large trees in this hidden garden are magical. Live jazz playing? Amazing vibes. Our server was knowledgeable, kind, & lively. The place gets busy so I'd say most tables are pretty close together. The food portions were on the bigger side. My Lapin Crepe was generously filled so I had half the next day for breakfast! The Maple Pudding was mostly just maple syrup soup but others in my group had more pudding, not sure what happened there. My table was also happy with their menu meal choices.
Thanks for the fun night!
We stayed here when it was a hotel in 1975. Still a great place to dine. Really good crepes. Live music & great atmosphere
