I had an amazing experience in Jardin Nelson. The food was amazing the baby back ribs melting off the bone & the maple syrup & crepe dessert 10/10. Margot was an amazing hostess & I will definitely come back again!
LES FROMAGES! I SPENT TWENTY TWO FULL DOLLARS ON 6 SLICES OF CHEESE. & each slice was so small. Thats like 4 dollars per slice of cheese, thats half a bubble tea for a bite of cheese. How is this even legal. This made my evening so sad, im just sad now. Maybe im not a cheese expert, but cheeses from the grocery store a fraction of the cost tasted similar. Dollar to taste ratio is just atrocious here for cheese. I was expecting a lot more cheese with 22 dollars, thats 6 mcdoubles. & look at the first picture posted, the size of that cheese, the saddness it emits, the tears it causes.
The diva crepe was okay though.
I was enticed to go here because of the garden terrace & jazz music, but it ends there. To start the strawberry basil drink is more like cool aid than a drink. Sickeningly sweet. After receiving, I wanted to leave but we already ordered. My friend was also disgusted. I went to the hostess to say we wanted to leave & felt bad because we ordered. The waitress said we'd have to pay for bill before leaving. I was starving & stayed but I shouldn't have. The food was just as bad. I got the Mexican crepe. It was more like a quesadilla with chicken slope throw on it. It wasn't a crepe but a tortilla. My friend received a hamburger that was worse than Mcdonslds. While the garden was beautiful. That's where it ends. Do not fall into the tourist trap. 🤨

Très bien reçu avec mon fils qui a un an & demi. Le cadre est superbe & l'ambiance agréable grâce aux musiciens. Je recommande particulièrement la crêpe avec la glace au sirop d'érable pour le dessert : elle est délicieuse & joliment servie.
We had dinner outdoors on the patio of this restaurant in the heart of the Old Town. It was recommended by our guide, & we are glad we came.
Despite the line to get in, we didn't have to wait long. The crêpes were excellent, & the Blanche de Chambly beer had a unique flavor; it is described as tasting like pear, but it definitely tastes like banana. The service was fast, & the staff was very professional. We finished off with a visit to the inner courtyard, where live jazz was playing. It had a great atmosphere, though it certainly would have been hard to hold a conversation there. Highly recommended.
Nous sommes venues dans l'après midi 23 juin 2026 pour prendre un café avec une copine, nous étions servies par une dame avec une chemise rose fuschia qui a été plus qu'agréable avec nous du début à la fin.
De plus nous avons pris des crêpes qui étaient délicieuse !

I am a regular here. However, tonight was my worst experience yet & I am not sure I'll be coming back anytime soon. My crepe order was completely botched with multiple ingredients missing & my specific request for removing the olives was not complied with at all. The salad I ordered also didn't taste fresh & overall, I was left with a completely unsatisfactory experience & a fear of eating out ever again due to the fact that I have a severe eating disorder & this meal was beyond disappointing for someone who is ultra restrictive & selective with her food intake. Eating in general, but particularly at restaurants is very challenging for me & this meal was beyond sub par & traumatizing for me.
I loved the Nelson crepe (make, cheddar, bacon, baked apples) work maple syrup & the pouding chomeur was authentic, one of the best ones I've ever had. I also enjoyed the live jazz experience in the courtyard. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Old Montreal.
Jardin Nelson came highly recommended by multiple people & I can see why! We went on one of the first nights they were open, & while we were freezing it was still one of the best meals we had in Montreal! The proximity to Old Montreal was ideal, the multiple jazz sets were talented & the food!! We had the French onion soup, the Du Jardin crepe, & the Nelson crepe. The French onion soup was divine & then I tasted the crepes! The Nelson crepe will live rent free in my mind for the rest of my life.
