Welcome to Japote, the family owned fast food restaurant that has been serving up delicious food since 2014. Our first location was in Guy-Concordia, and we moved to our current place in 2018.

*cash only* The reviews are correct, the food here is excellent. Delicous savory umami flavors, s,m,l portion sizes for all appetities, lots of sauces to try, & pickled ginger to clean the palette. Bonus affordable prices. I had #7, the veggie & shrimp tempura covered in egg, with a crispy'karokke' & pickled ginger on the side. The best lunch I have had in along time & I will be back for more.

The curry katsu was really good & fresh! We had it for our craft services at The Brain Train film shoot, & it was great!

They deserve all the fame. The cheapest & most authentic Japanese meal you can get. It's open for a few hours so everyone rushes to get some, but it's truly worth it.

The curry katsu is legit, & a great value. Full of flavor & with high-quality cutlet. Worth upgrading to the large sizes because the dishes do skew kind of small. Lines are always long, but they move quickly.

Yes, it's in a food court, but they are serving delicious, fresh, inexpensive Japanese meals. Very friendly & helpful service. Great choice for a quick lunch if you're in the area! Cash only, but there is an ATM nearby.

Delicious, quick, & cheap. The holy triefca that makes it popular with students & professionals in the area. It's located in the bottom of an office building but there is signage. When in doubt just follow the people

Edit: went back there many, many times during my undergrad. Absolutely delicious, nice staff & good prices (bring cash though!). Hands down my favorite place to eat lunch near McGill U, they have made so many of my lunches without ever disappointing. I may have graduated since, but I will definitely go back when I'm around. Thank you!

Difficile à trouver, mais la file indique que c'est apprécié.
Les portions sont toutefois très petites. J'aurais aimé qu'on me suggère d'ajouter des légumes à mon plat pour compléter (ce qui aurait sans doute augmenté ma facture à un prix encore raisonnable). Je n'ai eu qu'un peu de poulet sur du riz collant - plutôt bon, mais j'avais faim 3 heures plus tard.

Un peu décevant! J'ai pris le #10 large & il y avait trop peu de poulet. J'aimerais payé un peu plus & être rassasié.. Bon goût!

Wow wow wow! Friendly staff, quick service & delicious food for cheap! This place is a beautiful hidden gem. I recommend the oyakodon, & don't forget to bring cash. Also, I recommend that you come early to avoid the line of hungry students :)
