It feels like a secret cheat code when you find it, tucked away in the maze of underground Montreal. Tastes good too!
I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, tasty, & well prepared, & the presentation made the dishes even more appealing. The staff were polite, friendly, & always willing to help. The atmosphere was comfortable & relaxing, making it a great place to eat with friends. Overall, it offers good quality, excellent service, & I would definitely recommend it
japote saved this summer. my go to is number 8 medium with teriyaki & sweet mayo sauces.
i don't have photos but just trust me. it's awesome
I suspect some kind of fraud is going on. I get consistently charged 50¢ to $1.50 more than the price after taxes. Tested this with a friend, she had the same experience. You also never get a receipt.
The portions are not good either. Small teriyaki chicken has four 2/3 inch slices of chicken. Buying a bigger portion only gives you more rice. I've come here four separate times & ordered something different each time. Always get charged more than listed price + tax. Bigger sizes never get more food. It might've been worth it in the past, but they're definitely taking advantage of customers now.
I had this place saved & was excited to try it, but was ultimately disappointed. At first I wanted to try their gyudon - but they said they didn't have it. It was 11:45am on a Monday. Mind you they open at 11:30am.
I opted for their Japanese curry chicken instead. It's premade, so it's just poured on top of the rice. The sauce was overly sweet for my liking, & the chicken & vegetables were sparse. It also wasn't super filling, despite being their large.
Their prices across the board seemed very reasonable & cheap (starting from $6CAD); this cost me $8CAD ($5.65USD). The place is in a bit of a weird location but wasn't too difficult to find. Kinda in an office building & have to go down 2 sets of escalators. While this meal wasn't the best, their other options might be better. Seems popular for McGill students.
Perfect spot for a delicious lunch. I've tried a few dishes & they were all good. Some I preferred over others but everything is fairly priced. Just be aware it is cash only.
