Janine is absolutely one of the most worthwhile gelato shops to visit in Montreal. I'm from Taiwan, & since last year, I had been asking a friend to deliver Janine's gelato to my girlfriend. This year, when I finally arrived in Montreal, my girlfriend & I started visiting every single week to try their weekly limited-edition flavors.

The owner & staff are truly some of the kindest people in the world. They always welcome us with warm smiles & friendly greetings, & every week, my girlfriend & I genuinely look forward to seeing what new surprise Janine has created for us.

I sincerely hope everyone gets the chance to visit Janine & experience their unique & unforgettable flavors. I truly believe you'll fall in love with this place just like we did.

Even if sharing this hidden gem means that the next time I come back to Montreal I'll have to wait in a long line for my gelato, I'm more than happy to share Janine with everyone. It's simply too special to keep to ourselves! 🍦❤?

They have mastered the art of using the freshest ingredients & marrying unexpected, atypical combinations in a way that feels both innovative & harmonious. Their flavors evolve with the seasons, changing every week & highlighting unique local ingredients-from delicate olive oil 🫒 to aromatic spruce tips 🌲 & wild Québec blueberries 🫐.

What makes the experience even more special is their generosity & passion for sharing their creations. They never hesitate to offer complimentary samples of their newest flavors, inviting you to discover their latest inspirations. This week's lychee-inspired gelato was a perfect example of their genius innovation-fresh, delicate, & beautifully balanced. 🍧

Their gelato is imaginative without ever feeling gimmicky, showcasing a remarkable understanding of balance. Sweet 🍯, umami 🍄, & bright acidic 🍋 notes come together seamlessly, while the textures are exceptionally smooth & luxurious. Every scoop feels refined, thoughtful, & Michelin-star worthy ✨.

Enjoyed their ice cream during the soft-opening period. The sweetness level is perfect, & owners just as sweet. The unique flavours are the highlight, & they always had a great playlist setting the mood. Excited to visit more often!
