Jako is described as a cozy, bustling fusion spot offering Korean and Japanese flavors with generous portions and flavorful dishes like bulgogi dolsot, chicken katsu with cream sauce and mushrooms, tteokkochi, and creamy seafood yaki udon, but there are occasional misses such as bland beef donburi, overly oily tempura donburi, or a dolsot that is too sweet or too salty; the overall impression highlights delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and good value, with reservations often advised as it can get busy and seating is compact, while the warm ambiance and neon lights enhance the experience and many reviewers express a desire to return to explore more menu items.
Jako is my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world. I have been to Japan & Korea & nothing compared to the taste of Jako. If I lived close by , I would eat there everyday. Food is always the same quality. They deserve 3 Michelin stars. Special shoutout to Sid.

I loved the vibe! The karaage was delicious & their menu has a ton of intriguing dishes. The pork katsu was a bit soggy but other than that I really liked it!
The stone bowl was excessively hot, it made the rice too crispy & hard for my taste & the food didn't cool down even after 30 minutes. The experience wasn't enjoyable.
Went there for dinner. Cozy atmosphere. Music a bit too loud. But food is on point. Tried the chicken katsu curry. Chicken was fresh & the curry was simply delicious. Served with rice, mashed potatoes, & pickled ginger. Must try.
I know a lot of Americans come to Canada every day for work. I know they clock in, clock out, go to a restaurant for food & go back to their hotel. Tonight I came to Jako. I had a side of fries & a miso soup with some alcohol. But I'm not going to review the obviously amazing food. Because tonight wasn't about food, it was about an experience. It was about coming in with a friend & being greeted by the owner. It was about random people saying hello & sitting with me. It was about staying late & having conversations with people I'll never meet again. Tonight I wasn't just another American stopping in for a late night dinner, I was apart of a community & that community was found in Restaurant Jako. It's an experience I won't forget, & one I soon hope to have again. Don't just come in for the food, come here for the memories you'll make. Thank you Sit!

Super restaurant!
