The atmosphere was really great, the lighting is soft & sets on a good vibe. The service was quick & the servers were nice. The food was absolutely delicious, so flavorful. We all really enjoyed our night. I would absolutely recommend this place to go out with your friends or your family! If you're going there with a group I'd recommend to call ahead to take a reservation.

Absolutely the worst service. Whoever was working the phone should not be working in a restaurant at all or talking to humans. Called to reserve a table, told him specifically I can come now or later. Told me I can come now but would have a table by the door or if i wait 40 mins id have a proper table. I told him the table by the door is fine & im coming right now which he said was cool. As im parking, I see my table being taken & as im in the restaurant, I started being gaslighted by the waiter. He started saying I have to wait 40 minutes, that the table we were asking for was false, that we never called, he started to say a lot of false things to valide him giving our table away. I will never be coming here ever again having being ready to SPEND ALOT. Whoever was working the phone should not be working at this place at all. Laughing in our face & talking rudely. Told him we were gonna leave because of his bad service & did 0 to mediate the situation. Do not recommend this place to anyone expecting service.
Love the food. Been here for lunch & dinner, I like that during the day it's not too busy so it's perfect to talk & catch up with friends but I don't recommend coming for dinner if you want to do that. Only come at night to have fun & drink with some good food
Food is so out of this world it's honestly some of the best food In all of MTL like my lord this is so good. We had the chicken Katsu with the curry 🍛 just mind-blowing & dolsot bulgogi soso good so I recommend both for sure & can't wait to go back & try more on the menu!!! 4.6/5!!!
Food was so good that I tried it on Thursday night & was back on Sunday for lunch. Everything is absolutely delicious but I highly recommend the tteokbokki udon, the fried tteokkochi, & the korrokes. They also have makgeolli which is not something I see very often (highly recommend the banana). The prices are super affordable, the food is delicious & comes in great portions, the staff are really friendly, & the vibe feels like you're actually out for a meal in Korean. 10/10 will be back.

I got the tempura udon & it satisfied my craving! Soft, chewy & crunchy , paired with flavourful broth. Recommend! Good portion for the price. The korrokke is so good 💕🤤
cute little restaurant, the dishes are very good, we had the pork katsu donbori, bulgogi udon, tteokbokki yaki udon & dak galbi dolsot. portions are generous & the prices are also very fair for the quantity you get!! definitely recommend :)
Une expérience très positive chez Jako. Nous avons été bien conseillés & la nourriture était copieuse & savoureuses. N'hésitez pas à demander des recommandations des serveurs! L'ambiance était bien avec de la bonne musique 🎶 pas trop forte. Je conseille les rice cakes & les boules de fromage coulant! Ouf!! J'ai pris les nouilles udon avec le boeuf & la sauce Mayo crémeuse , à se rouler par terre!! Miam! Ça vaut le détour & on est allés un mercredi à l'ouverture … c'était pas trop occupé.
J'ai hâte de retourner pour essayer un autre plat!

The udon bulgogi was delicious! The vibe was also really nice. Definitely would come back & recommend, good location too right near the 1 & about a 15 min walk from mont royal
The quality of the food is good. The recommendations online is on point. However, the katsu curry is not exactly syncing with the south Asian taste palate but it's something new. Not bad at all.
The porc Donburi & porc dalsot was kinda sweet though. Loved the chicken dalsot. Would definitely recommend it moving forward.

Tout etait super bon! Les prix vraiment raisonnables pour le centre-ville.
Mon amj coréen a bien aimé aussi! Il dit que c'est probablement plus une fusion (japonais coréen) que 100% coréen, mais dans tous les cas, je recommande & j'y retournerai.
Starting off with the food, every single thing was delicious!! I had the bulgogi dolsot (pictured) & it was incredible, probably one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Everyone in my party was extremely happy with everything from the daikon to our appetizer of fried cauliflower to each of our meals. Two of my party members had the creamy seafood yaki udon & said it was the best meal they ever had. Next, the service was great! They came by multiple times to check on us throughout the meals, asked us about dietary restrictions without prompting, & were very polite. Lastly, the atmosphere was amazing!! The signs & posters across the walls were such a great touch & the chalkboard menu with drawings of the meals was so cute & artistic.
TLDR: Everything was amazing & they were very accommodating! Their food was absolutely incredible & the atmosphere is so cool. I 100% recommend it when in the Montréal area!!

I've been going to Restaurant Jako since 2020, & it continues to be one of the best Japanese & Korean fusion restaurants I've ever been to. Every visit somehow tops the last - the food, the service, & the overall experience just keep getting better.
Two of my all-time favorite dishes are the bulgogi yaki udon & the chicken katsu with cream sauce, mushrooms, & onions - both are packed with flavor & perfectly cooked every time. You can tell they care about quality & consistency. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & the cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to relax & enjoy an amazing meal.
Highly recommend this gem to anyone who appreciates authentic & delicious Japanese-Korean fusion cuisine!
j'ai pris en take out. arrivé sur place le serveur a été sympathique & m'a dit où trouver le menu. 2min après il prenait ma commande. 20min délai très raisonnable. qualité de nourriture & saveur excellente - me rappel un séjour à Séoul. je recommande
ps: 1 piment = assez piquant si vous n'êtes pas habitué. ;)
Excellent restaurant fusion qui sert des plats aux inspirations asiatiques, j'ai fortement apprécié la cuisine qui était bonne & pour un prix raisonnable, le service était très bon aussi ! Je recommande de réserver à l'avance car le restaurant est assez petit & très populaire
