Amazing food & amazing service!! Every dish (we had bulgogi dolsot, bulgogi yaki udon, karaage, !!their homemade kimchi) had an explosion of flavors!
Their crushed pear drink is also a must try!
Will definitely be back!!View more
Starting off with the food, every single thing was delicious!! I had the bulgogi dolsot (pictured) & it was incredible, probably one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Everyone in my party was extremely happy with everything from the daikon to our appetizer of fried cauliflower to each of our meals. Two of my party members had the creamy seafood yaki udon & said it was the best meal they ever had. Next, the service was great! They came by multiple times to check on us throughout the meals, asked us about dietary restrictions without prompting, & were very polite. Lastly, the atmosphere was amazing!! The signs & posters across the walls were such a great touch & the chalkboard menu with drawings of the meals was so cute & artistic.
TLDR: Everything was amazing & they were very accommodating! Their food was absolutely incredible & the atmosphere is so cool. I 100% recommend it when in the Montréal area!!View more
I've been going to Restaurant Jako since 2020, & it continues to be one of the best Japanese & Korean fusion restaurants I've ever been to. Every visit somehow tops the last - the food, the service, & the overall experience just keep getting better.
Two of my all-time favorite dishes are the bulgogi yaki udon & the chicken katsu with cream sauce, mushrooms, & onions - both are packed with flavor & perfectly cooked every time. You can tell they care about quality & consistency. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & the cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to relax & enjoy an amazing meal.
Highly recommend this gem to anyone who appreciates authentic & delicious Japanese-Korean fusion cuisine!View more
A tasty korean restaurant in the neighborhood! Great variety of dishes & drinks, plus they are delicious & portions are just perfect. All ingredients felt fresh & tasty.
If you're looking for a delicious cozy option, this is it. The karaage mayo donburi had an amazing sauce & the chicken texture was just perfect. The creamy seafood yaki udon was crazy good, the sauce was spicy & tasty, while the shrimps & the mushrooms were cookd perfectly.
The atmosphere could change a little bit, by having more light.View more
I was looking for a Korean restaurant in Montreal & this place was a pleasant surprise. We got Korean fried chicken & beef udon bulgogi & they were very delicious. Coming from Toronto with many good Korean restaurants, I was so happy with the place & we are definitely coming back. They also have Sapporo on tap! 👍View more
Deuxième fois que je vais au restaurant, la nourriture est simplement incroyable, le meilleur udon que j'ai jamais mangé de ma vie. Le service est excellent & l'ambiance est très chaleureuse. Je recommande !View more
The food there is great & I recommend their "Bulgogi Yaki Udon" & "Okonomiyaki"View more
Pretty good place. It seems very busy, we got lucky & had a table right away but we were just 2 & it was around 6PM on a Sunday. I ordered a bulgogi dolsot & it was decent. They were out of the japchae topping & replaced it with kimchi, but I found the flavour of their kimchi to be kind of odd & jarring (it tasted kind of like tomato flavour, somehow, it didn't taste like any other kind of kimchi I've had before & I've been to many Korean places). So my dish was pretty good overall, but I've had better elsewhere. My SO had the cheese dak galbi (chicken) yaki udon & liked it. But he wasn't a fan of the cold potato mash topping which felt out of place. He still liked his meal, though. Portions were generous & neither of us could finish, so you don't need to worry about that. Prices were very fair too & the service was excellent.View more
The food was ok but they were kind of expensive. We liked the fried rice cake appetizer the most along with the others. The chicken thigh udon bowl was ok but the flavor was not for me. Just a suggestion, in the shrimp tempura bowl, there should be more than 2 pieces of shrips in it.View more
Delicious food! I recommend the Bulgogi Yaki Udon. But you should reserve in advance if you dont want to have a limited amount of time to eat.View more
The karaage was great with the sweet & spicy sauce, very tender. Seafood udon was delicious, lots of shrimp & mussels. The beef udon soup wasn't anything special. Did not like that they make you pour the ingredients into the broth & not the other way around. This causes more splashing & most restaurants don't do this.View more
Good food with decent prices, although the portions seem to have gotten smaller recently. My boyfriend & I usually go for the creamy chicken Katsu & the Sake Don (salmon Donburi); we enjoy it every time. I also tried the creamy Yaki Udon with seafood, which was spicy but nonetheless, super yummy. The staff is very nice & courteous. The place seems to be very busy every time we go, so a reservation would be recommended if you don't want to wait in line.View more

Very good place for a quick Japanese/Korean fix!
The decor & vibe are quite nice.
The karage were nice & crispy but still moist inside (cooked to perfection) & the Chipotle sauce was *chefs kiss*. My go-to had always been the katsu & it never disappoints.
The udon bulgogi was a bit too salty for my liking & the tempura donburi was a bit bland. The highlight & my all time favorite has been the okonomiyaki. Very well made & tasted so good!View more
