Best Korean-Japanese fusion food in Montreal!
The service is impeccable, Sit & Anh are the best. Always get my chicken cream katsu even though my lactose intolerant self can't eat it, I still get it.View more
I've been going to Restaurant Jako since 2020, & it continues to be one of the best Japanese & Korean fusion restaurants I've ever been to. Every visit somehow tops the last - the food, the service, & the overall experience just keep getting better.
Two of my all-time favorite dishes are the bulgogi yaki udon & the chicken katsu with cream sauce, mushrooms, & onions - both are packed with flavor & perfectly cooked every time. You can tell they care about quality & consistency. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & the cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to relax & enjoy an amazing meal.
Highly recommend this gem to anyone who appreciates authentic & delicious Japanese-Korean fusion cuisine!View more
This is a hidden gem for great Korean/ Japanese fusion. Service is super pleasant & very efficient. Just note that it's a small place so reservations are a must!!View more

Was in town (from Toronto) for the weekend & looking for some Korean/Japanese eats. Glad we stumbled upon this place as it was a hidden gem. I'm a big guy & usually can eat quite a bit, but man...the portions here were huge that I actually had to pack some food to bring back to the hotel. We ordered the pork katsu rice (curry) & chicken katsu rice (cream) it was on point! The free miso soup was kinda bland & didn't have any real flavour to it. (August 10, 2024)View more
First time here, got invited by a friend. Great cozy place, nice ambiance, polite staff. They have a not-so-big menu, just enough to try everything each time you visit them. i guess its their signature dishes which is perfect for me since i don't like tons of choices to choose from. My choice which was the pork donburi (stir-fried pork, rice, fried kimchi on the side, miso soup) it was delicious! My friend had the fried pork cutlet with rice. Yuummy.... beautiful presentation as well. only downside was the parking obviously since its in downtown, gotta find your street parking or! there is a paying parking lot right next to it which was $10 (i think this is better option since street parking ads up really fast by the hour) As a korean reviewing a korean/japanese restaurant,I will definitely go back & try their other dishes!View more
Simply delicious. Highly recommend for authentic Korean/Japanese.View more
Really good, authentic tasting, Japanese options. The ambiance was fantastic with the complimenting colours & the neon sign. Would go againView more
One of the best places for Korean & Japanese food. They do not cheap out on portions nor on quality. Service was fast (though it wasn't during peak hours), & staff is caring. They even gave us a bowl & 2 boxes for takeout. Would recommend!View more
Very good place for a quick Japanese/Korean fix!
The decor & vibe are quite nice.
The karage were nice & crispy but still moist inside (cooked to perfection) & the Chipotle sauce was *chefs kiss*. My go-to had always been the katsu & it never disappoints.
The udon bulgogi was a bit too salty for my liking & the tempura donburi was a bit bland. The highlight & my all time favorite has been the okonomiyaki. Very well made & tasted so good!View more
You won't believe the culinary delight we experienced at Jako, the ultimate Japanese-Korean fusion gem in Montreal! We dropped in for after party & were greeted by two delightful servers. & the manager? Talk about setting the perfect culinary hype tone!
The restaurant's ambiance was an exciting Korean culture & vibrant energy. Each item on the menu was a culinary masterpiece, Utterly impeccable! They pampered our group, making us feel like we were partying with dear pals. Seriously, this place is a gastronomic adventure not to be missed!View more
