Reviews describe Jack Le Coq as a go-to spot for fried chicken with crispy crust, juicy meat, and generous portions served in a nostalgic retro atmosphere. The tenders, especially Nashville and red spicy varieties, along with the Jack Classic and Deluxe burgers, are frequently highlighted as must-try items. Sides such as waffle fries, poutine, and macaroni and cheese are commonly mentioned, with fry texture noted as crunchy by some and less favorable when delivery or cooking affects quality. The overall sentiment is that the chicken is fresh and flavorful when prepared well, but several reviews report changes in recipe, quality, or price since ownership changes, leading some to say the value has declined. Service is typically fast and friendly, with many praising the upbeat atmosphere and efficient takeout or dine-in options; however there are occasional complaints about errors, miscommunication, or missing items on orders. A few diners describe issues like undercooked chicken on a first order, inconsistent portions, or long waits at peak times, but these are not universal. Despite the variability, Jack Le Coq is widely regarded as one of the best fried chicken spots in the area, drawing repeat visits for the crispy texture, variety of sauces, and comfort-food appeal.
Ordered two jack cornichons to try this franchise & it was sooo good. Big chunks of fresh fried real chicken lol. Best fried chicken burger in the city forsure
I went today to this place. The fries🍟are good. The chicken tenders are good. The chicken sandwich is ok. But the service is not good. The guy from the counter basically kicked us out. I ordered to go, but I was waiting for my wife so we sat by a table for a moment & opened our bag to eat the fries & the guy from the counter came & asked us why we were sitting if we ordered to go. I said that I was waiting for my wife. & he repeated the question to make us feel uncomfortable 😣. Very bad service from that guy. We were the only two other customers in the whole restaurant, full of empty tables. Train your people to make the customer feel welcome in your restaurant! I am not coming back.

Pretty good chicken & good list of items on the menu. You can refill your drink! The price is comparable to other similar restaurant. The service is ok & the decorations is retro. The fries are passable. Missing music to improve the ambiance.
We had a delicious spicy chicken sandwich & 2 piece combo. Robyn was the sweetest server & took care of us, making our visit memorable. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in town. :)
The food is good but it's a bit pricey compared to other places. 43$ for 2 classic trios & one Junior chicken sandwich is expensive. Especially when I can get way more food at McDonalds for 10$ less. Portions are generous & the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a retro Diner. We asked for no pickles & we still got pickles & it did take a while for us to get our food. People after us got their food before us. Overall, 4/5 because the food was good which is rare nowadays.
Great service. Super solid mains & sides. The fried chicken is really crispy & juicy. The gravy is addictive & delightfully peppery. Love being able to get mac'n'cheese as a side. The pink lemonade slush is also fantastic, & they even have spruce beer from a local provider!
The food here is really good. We got the Jack cheese, Jack Honey, & the chicken tenders, everything was fantastic. The spicy chicken has just the right amount of heat. The owner is super friendly & helpful, he even asked if it was ok to give my daughter a toy chicken, this made her night. I will be back for sure & I'll be recommending this restaurant to my friends. Edit: I've been coming here since before covid. It's my favorite chicken joint. It's always top notch. I found out today that the food is also halal with the exception of the wraps & sandwiches because they toast the bread on the same grill as the bacon, but you can ask to not toast the bread & it's now halal. One of the employees explained all of this to me today & she even baked the head chef to make sure the gravy was halal too (it is). She was amazing.
