The first time I visited this place was about a year ago, my husband & I was amazed with their pizza . We went back that year a little later & I was disappointed with the fact that I was seated in a section which I was not comfortable , I asked for the bench but the waitress mentioned that it was closed & later further noticed a couple being seated there. If it wasn't for my husband I would have just left .
Just a month month ago my husband I went back, our meal was dry & the waitress forgot to bring my salad , I also noticed her staring at my crucifixion, that made me feel very uncomfortable, she stared & mentioned it to her colleague of which she started staring & made me feel super uncomfortable, I left after paying & vowed to my dear husband that I will never go back to this place again. I think those waitresses need to have some coaching about how to be respectful & professional towards customers. Ciao ciao, good luck team
One the best restaurant in town. Food is always super fresh & extremely delicious & tasty. The spices are on point. I almost tried all their menu, both at the restaurant & by ordering, & nothing has disappointed me - maybe except the Russian salad mayonnaise that I find too greasy... I highly recommend!
You definitely get more salad & more breads when dine-in.
Cons: Price has increased from $55 to $58 to $63 for mixed kebab in less than 6 months.
Some of the best turkish food I've ever had, great service, great complimentary salads & bread! Would highly recommend
Everything was delicious but it was greasy (they are very generous with the cheese). We had the Ramanda combo avec 2 salads, 1 soupe de lentilles, Iskender kebab (veal with tomato sauce) for main meal, baklava for dessert with tea. We took an extra pidé mix (sujuc, boeuf, cheese).
The service was amazing, they see you when you raise a finger & they come right away. Warm & accommodating employees.
Recommended by a friend who lives within walking distance we tried this spot a Friday night. I have eaten in other Turkish restaurants in Montreal & had a certain expectation which I had to alter as soon as I entered the restaurant. The room is large with high ceilings & well laid out although tables are a tad too close to each other for my taste. The place was busy & we were seated near the kitchen area since it was busy. Within minutes though I was surprised as our waitress asked if we wanted to move to a nicer table.. I read some reviews about the wait staff..& all I can say is they are adorable polite, smiling (hard to do if you in a busy restaurant setting), We were served by 4 different persons & all were helpful & attentive considering the amount of customers. For the food I was impressed they bake their own bread in an open oven, We had a variety of dishes including a cheese pide, some chicken sandwiches which arrived well done as requested, lentil soup, salads, hummus & feta cigars. Two of us who ordered the sandwiches were surprised by the weight of each sandwich & how tasty they were. Both of us continued eating despite the fact we were full midway through. Teh Fries which I had not ordered are spectacular ( i like salt). Our pide guest also ate through it all & despite complaining about the size managed to eat all of it along with some cigars & a rice pudding that looked like it could feed 3 persons. Our soup guru was also impressed with the taste of the soup. One of group is a little skeptical about foreign food in general..but he actually was the first to say he wanted to go back. The service is perfect for this type of restaurant, its humming & busy so do not expect someone to dote on you, there are no busboys roles so relax & have a pleasant tea. We did sit around a while not knowing we had to go to the cash register for our bill..but no biggie & again I have rarely been in restaurants where everyone was so nice, smiling & helpful.
We recently dined at the restaurant for the second time & tried a variety of dishes. We ordered the chicken with legume, shish tabuk plate with fries instead of bulgur, lamb cutlets, & cheese rolls. The chicken with legume was very tender, though it could have used more seasoning-perhaps a bit more salt & pepper. The shish tabuk was juicy & flavorful. Initially, the fries were forgotten, but the staff promptly brought them to us after we mentioned it. My son particularly enjoyed the lamb cutlets, finding them delicious. The cheese rolls were light & tasty, & we loved the dipping sauce that came with them. However, the salad that accompanied our plates could have been fresher. Overall, it was a good dining experience, though we felt the prices were a bit high. By the way the bread tastes extremely good 👍🏻.
Food was good but the service was inexistant. We were a group of 10 & we had to insist to get forks, knives & water because the table was set for 8. The place is very bright. They need more vegetarian options, they really do. The price was good though. & the salad was delicious.
