About

Il Pagliaccio focuses on traditional Italian culinary techniques that emphasize the natural integrity of core ingredients. The kitchen produces a variety of handmade pasta shapes tossed in robust sauces that highlight regional characteristics from across the peninsula. Signature offerings feature carefully sourced flour and seasonal produce prepared to maintain authentic textures and flavors. Diners encounter a space optimized for efficiency where the preparation methods prioritize consistency and functional presentation. Crusts on the oven-baked items exhibit a crisp structure, while meat and vegetable components are treated to simple seasoning to accentuate their primary qualities. The menu reflects a straightforward approach to Mediterranean classics by avoiding unnecessary complexity in favor of reliable, time-honored recipes that adhere to essential culinary standards found in classic Italian trattorias.

Searching for some authentic North Italian fare, we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food as well as the elegance of the service at Il Pagliaccio. Appetizers (ultra tender calamari), mains (melting gnocchi), dessert (brilliant panne cotta!) & their excellent wine choice - not to forget the delicious amuse-bouche brought between courses, made a meal that was both relaxed & yet gastronomically quite exciting.
