We had the Arugula & parmesan salad shared, it was fresh, tasty & lots for the two of us. I had the tortellini, my brother had the canneloni; both were good & came in generous servings.
I have been going to the Il Fornetto since 1999, but last night the food was not as expected, we were a group of 6, & no one was satisfied, not taste at all. The parking problem is a turn-off to go back again.
tout est au top chez Fornetto : l'accueil, le service, la cuisine & la vue.
It was excellent 30 years ago...& it still is. As good as ever. Excellent pizza, attentive, friendly service. A neighbourhood go-to spot!
Perfect experience:
Service is amazing, Mike is awesome.
The food is excellent.
The vibe in the restaurant even on a Monday night is vibrant you just want to sit there for hours (& we did).
Could not have asked for a better birthday evening for my husband. Thank you!!
Great food! Had an excellent server. I think her name is Morgane! Thank you.
Always enjoy this restaurant - excellent service & great food at reasonable prices.
Excellent endroit pour un diner d'affaires! Ambiance feutrée, belle sélection de vin, & repas succulents. Sans compter la qualité du service. Je recommande fortement!
Cuisine italienne traditionnelle.
Vous aurez l'embarras du choix.
Tout est bon!
Service hors pair.
Cadre agréable.
Excellent service à tout égard! La nourriture était excellente. De belles attentions pour l'anniversaire de notre fille. Le déplacement de la Rive Sud vers ce restaurant en valait la peine. Nous y retournerons.
I've been eating at this restaurant for 20 years?.. with no complaints.
Always well received, not to mention a smile. I can honesty say over the years I've brought many people who feel the same as I. It is & has been my go to for pizza & pasta. My friends & family rave about the veal.
Servers have changed over the years although always professional & courteous.
We went for lunch for our anniversary. We sat outside on the terrace. Nice view on the lakeshore & good ambiance. Ordered the calamari $22 , a pizza $24 & beer $8/bottle. The calamari were good, not great . The pizza was ok until the waiter spilled a beer onto the plate. He apologized & wiped the table, but when we pointed out that the beer was spilled on the pizza he just said "oh" & left. He never came back or offered any solution. When it came time to pay he asked if we wanted to take the leftovers home . We said " its soaked in beer ". He replied "you don't want to take it home & dry it off ?"
We had pizzas & a couple of other dishes. The pizzas were the worst we have ever tasted (dry crusts with barely anything on them, litterally). The rest of the food was mediocre at best, the portions minimal & the service unwelcoming.
With bad food & high prices,
it is hard to understand how this restaurant can survive & even get some good reviews. Do they selectively serve some customers better than others? A puzzle.
We will not be returning.
Wow & yummy. Jimmy was attentive & accommodating. The food was delicious & the portion size?. was too much for me.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious homemade Italian food.
