I was really excited to try Pho for the first time, but it ended up being a bit underwhelming for me. Since it was my first experience, I'm not entirely sure if this is how it's supposed to taste, but it didn't quite meet my expectations.
The broth was light & comforting, but the meat was the main issue for me. The pieces didn't feel like great quality, & the fried texture of the beef felt like an odd contrast against the soft, delicate broth. It didn't blend as well as I expected, & kind of took away from the overall experience.
On the plus side, the portion size was huge, definitely generous, though I couldn't finish it all. One standout was the beef skewers, which were actually really delicious. They were well-seasoned, flavorful, & cooked nicely, making them the highlight of the meal.
Overall, while this particular experience didn't fully win me over, I'd still be open to trying pho again somewhere else to see if a different spot might change my impression.
The broth is very fragrant & the meat is very fresh. The space is small but clean. The service is quick & attentive. Will definitely come back many times.
I AM PHO in downtown Montreal is a dependable spot for a comforting Vietnamese meal. The pho stands out with a flavorful, aromatic broth & generous portions, while other dishes like vermicelli bowls & spring rolls are solid choices too. The atmosphere is casual & relaxed, & service is quick, making it perfect for a simple lunch or easy dinner. Overall, a good go-to when you're craving a warm bowl of pho.
This place has become by go-to pho place. Their broth is simply delicious.
A bit of well done flank . One piece of tendon , one piece of tripe, half a beef ball & no red raw beef. Shrinkflation maybe. All in a lukewarm tasteless broth. Definitely not the same as St. Mathieu location. Seems like new admins. Disappointing
My pho soup was not warm enough. Beef tendon was cold & broth was salty. I would not recommend here if you are looking for a warm authentic pho.
I order vegetarian pho & & receive only the broth if not able to take a order just change a job instead ruin diner of people
I love this place SO MUCH😍😍🥰😋 The pho is amazing & not pricy at all, there's a large variety of pho with different types of meat, the servings are big enough, & the flavors oh my god, I love eating there with my friends or alone, it's never disappointing. The delivery is top notch, everything is separated (broth, meat, sauce, etc) so the noodles don't come soggy & overcooked. The viet style coffee is to die for, not too sweet or bitter! They don't close too early which is perfect for people like me who finish work late & don't have a lot of time to eat during their shift. Really really recommend this place if you want to eat well & not spend too much money.✊
Nice spot to have dinner at if you're in the area. The bun bo hue was pretty good, it had plenty of flavor & good amounts of spice but it did leave me with a stomachache the next day. Service was great, no complaints. Our server also ran out after my brother & I when we left a belonging at the table, which was very kind & attentive. Only thing that gets points deducted for atmosphere is the number of flies, I constantly had to swat away flies while I was eating which was the only negative part of the dining experience.
Tasty pho broth, many delicious options, lightning quick service (always with a smile!), & excellent location. It's perfect for getting away from the office at lunch without feeling rushed.
