Not particularly good or bad service. Wait time outside at the door, would think a reservation list or system would be better as there's no covering outside. Hope to see them implement something like that in the future.
We both ordered two different types of katsu & both were dry & tough. Completely overcooked. Flavor was a bland, granted you are given seasonings like salt, sauce etc... but katsu itself has no flavor.
Both our plates & sauce cup had chips in it.
Soup they served seemed to be the instant cream vegetable one from Korean grocery store.
Overall, it's not very good. I've had much better katsu at food court. They should switch to donkatsu. Less easy to mess up & you can tenderize the meat.

Pedimos dos katsu curry. La comida espectacular!!!! Cantidad justa para disfrutarlo sin salir incómodo. El personal muy amable. 100% recomendable. Volvería sin pensarlo!
Resto Hoshi est un Bistro Japonais situe dans le Quartier Chinois de Montreal (proche du metro Place d'Armes & Champs de Mars ligne orange STM). Le resto est tres petit alors les places sont limitees, mieux d'appeler pour une reservation sinon un long fil d'attente. Pour un groupe de 6 personnes & plus, je ne suis pas certaine que vous aurez une table pour votre groupe & que vous pouvez vous s'asseoir tous ensembles alors mieux de vous renseigner pres de l'equipe Hoshi. Mes plats preferes de ce resto sont : Poke Saumon & Thon & leurs crevettes & legumes panees. Le menu de ce Bistro est simple mais avec une belle variete de choix. Merci pour le bel accueil & service. Great restaurant to discover the japanese dish KATSU. My overall experience was very positive. Great food, great services & very motivated staffs. I always recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the the spicy salmon salad, rosu katsu udon & the curry katsu don
The katsu was very good & flavourful, some pieces were slightly tough, but for the most part very tasty & tender, & the curry sauce is great. Salad is very refreshing.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6pm, the restaurant itself is quite small with around 5-6 tables inside. Atmosphere was very quiet but it was comfortable.
Ordered the Sake Salmon Son & the Rosu Katsu Curry. The sake Salmon Don came with pre-seasoned salmon sashimi on a bowl of rice, topped with an onsen egg, scoop of avocado & a sheet of toasted Nori. The flavors blended well, salmon wasn't overly salty & was very creamy with the onsen egg yolk. Rice was well seasoned & had great texture, overall very decent dish. The Katsu Curry was excellent, the Katsu had great flavor & was crispy on the outside but the bottom did get a little soggy due to being on the rice & curry ( I didn't mind). The curry itself was not too salty & paired well with the rest of the dish. The Katsu pieces are quite thick so some of the middle bites might seem on the drier side but ultimately pairs very well with the curry.
Was also served a small complimentary cup of creamy chicken & mushroom soup which were good, nothing too crazy but the server was nice.
Overall excellent place for Katsu, & at decent prices & portions.

Edit: Vous avez retiré du menu la meilleure chose que vous aviez sur le menu: Le Tendon. Décision incompréhensible !! Vous allez me répondre que vous l'avez durant la semaine à l'heure du Midi mais les gens travaillent durant la semaine vous savez !Dommage je ne reviendrais plus.
Been wanting to try this for quite a long time & it's the first place that was above the hype. An all star dish, friendly staff, few tables & quiet- it was perfect for a solo meal.
